I'm definitely a fan of the "Trancer" psytrance........Christopher Lawrence // John 00 Fleming // Nicholas Bennison // Jay Selway style.

The regular Full-On psy is nice and all.....but sometimes that shit can get WAY too random & abstract (especially the dark psy stuff!). Im not really a fan of stuff that i listen to it, and then it just flies over my head and i cant remember what i just heard. I like Astrix's style because its a bit more melodic and definitely has more of a "party" feel.

The Rock-influenced stuff like Tube or Infected Mushroom? ehhh overdone....

Other psy, it just feels like it takes 5 minutes to get to the crazy part, then just explodes for about 45 seconds, then just suddenly stops and ends. Weirdddd

yeah psytrance totally caters to the psychedelia. I remember when I first heard psy I was kinda relucant AT FIRST, but it QUICKY grew onto me...and now I'm so addicted to it. I don't need to fry to enjoy psy! I keep catching myself having certain frytard thought patterns when I listen to psy SOBER. It's just awesome music in general. Usually very thought provoking material

Wait, hold on, slow down for me for just a second...

Psytrance... and psychedelics? They complement each other?

Oh man, guys... everything I've ever known has just been turned on it's head.

... Psy

yeah psy is the greek word for "mind" but thinking of those two words and your comment does make me chuckle.

Seriously, though... Personally, I've always been under the impression that Psytrance is short for Psychedelic Trance. I'm not totally off base on this or anything, right?

As for you Psilo... stop liking such good music before I have to come steal your hard drives. Those particular tracks I already have, but I'll probably run out of space the next time you recommend something I don't.
