DJ's, What Are You Wasting Your Time For?

i know that you are a noob and everything.. and that you want to make yourself seem cool by posting what you think would be a "cool" thread...

and i know you want all of us to say wow adoseofreality, you are sooo smart and wise..

but you just come off as a complete idiot.

people do things because they like to do it.. you shouldn't have to be mark farina to dj, or you should have to be kobe to play ball.. besides you have to start somewhere..

should parents not enroll their kids into junior sports or let their kids take guitar lessons...

People need to realize there isn't that much to dj'ing, and that they should be supporting the real artists (aka the producers). It's rather sad how much respect alot of dj's think they deserve, and how little credit they give to the original song authors. It's also rather sad in EDM how hard it is for an artist to support themselves because they are hardly credited for their music. It's nice though to see some crews such as IT bringing real producers to play live, such as Astral Projection.

Maybe instead of pointing at yourselves, you DJ's should hold up the record you're playing and point at that instead. Notice the type of parties you are playing? Crappy illegal parties run by shady ass people most of the time, and most of you aren't even getting paid. Sure, everyone has to start somewhere, but be humble about it. Not all dj's are bad, unfortunately many of them just have poor attitudes and are doing it for the wrong reason.

and I do gotta agree with the original poster...although i think it goes alot farther than just the dj's....

people need to get their priorities in check. too many people make partying/dj'ing whatever their main priority and let the rest of their life slip out of balance. make sure you can support yourself and take care of your responisiblities first, then worry about your hobbies and recreation.

I do have to say I found this thread to be really fucking funny. Seems to hit hard home to a few people, wonder why that is? Because it is true about certain Dj's in the scene. When it comes down to it most of them just mix in and out of records, very few layer or do anything special, an extremely low percentage of them produce and and even smaller percentage can do it well.

Well I think you get my point no need to ramble on.

Personally where I stand I could give two monkey craps about being a Dj these days. I have moved on to where I can make the real artist known.

Anyone getting butt hurt over this thread should seriously rethink life because maybe this applies directly to you.
