Armin Van buuren- Anyone who doesn't listen to his music should. Go to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and download his state of trance mixes that come out every thursday. Besides hearing him spin at Vanguard here in LA, Armin creats/mixes better then most djs out there.
Above & Beyond- I really think they may challenge Armin for the top spot, but you can also go to alldj.org and download their trance around the world mixes every week. The new oceanlab album is amazing, the miracle song (above & beyond club remix) is one of the best songs released in 08. Ferry Corsten- Ferry rocked the house at the shrine, and did a ok job at EDT POP. His music is still tops. I have never seen anyone take over a crowd like he did playing hits after hits at the shrine. Markus Schulz- He should crack the top10 after #13 last year. He was one of the best djs at EDT Pop, and I can't wait for MM to see him again. ATB- I put him top 5 because he had a amazing performace at How Sweet it is. |

Agreed with Infected Mushroom.... they really arent even DJs anymore, its just become the live band act these days.
Names like that though are nothing but fads. Expect Deadmau5 to be high on the list this year, and then watch him fall 50 spaces in 2009. There are alot of 'Fad' producers out there - Sean Tyas, Aly & Fila. A quick rise to fame, followed by going nowhere. But then theres guys like ATB who havent done SHIT since 2003, yet still remain high on the list simply for their old classics or those one-hit-wonders. His DJ sets are fairly decent, but nothing unique or special that stands out. In my opinion, ATB is just a has-been. Daft Punk is another name like that (although their recent tour last year and a new CD brought their rise back somewhat). Fedde le Grand and Filo & Peri also come to mind for those one hit wonders... Expect Armin to win #1 again this year. New CD filled with his own new productions, huge solo concerts with live singers, ASOT radio show.... the guy works hard and deserves that spot right now. Hes definitely the most 'popular'. bleh. im done with this. i voted and did my part haha ![]() |
