You obviously didn't attend Full on Ferry in April at the Shrine. That was the best party I've been to this year hands down.

Last year, only one of the guys i voted for actually made it anywhere close (Mike Koglin at #181). All the others were just favourite producers moreso.... voted a bit more realistically this year lol.

1. Solarstone - Saw him back in August and loved every moment of his set. First there was Anthology vol 2 and now the Rain Stars Eternal CD... now the owner of Solaris records... this guy is just on fire lately!

2. Mike Koglin - Amazing DJ, Amazing producer, he loves what he does and knows how to read a crowd like no other! Wide variety of sounds, isnt afraid to take risks. Amazing blend of both old & new tunes. He remains one of my favourite DJs by far.

3. Christopher Lawrence - Bridging the gap between Trance & Psy, always a wonderful perfomance. Plus with the Pharmacy label finally underway, only good things can rise! Its a real shame he was disqualified last year cuz of some bullshit with his marketing manager... so this vote also goes to get him back on the map!

4. Above & Beyond - Nuff said'. Oceanlab is back with an entire new CD... cant wait for the club mixes to be released!! One of the few 'Top' names that i feel actually does deserve to be up there.

5. Orjan Nilsen - Havent seen him DJ live yet, but he is my favorite producer. Every melody this guy makes just gets stuck in my head for days & days.... Love his variety of sounds, the hard techiness of Black Mamba, the melodic sounds of Soulflayer & Lost Once, to the funky progressive stuff like Woodchunk & La Guitarra.

I don't think the people who have posted in this thread fall under this, but for those voting, keep this in mind:

You are voting for the top 100 DJs in this poll. NOT producers. Just because someone is a good producer does not make them a good DJ. I think the last couple years this poll has been swayed the wrong way by people voting for acts based on their production work, not for their skills as a DJ.

With that said, the names mentioned here are all pretty good. I voted for mostly house acts, mostly because that's what I listen to. I think it's cool too that nowadays you can download almost any liveset from any DJ all over the world ( the internet), so even though I haven't been to europe in 3 years, I heard a lot of big sets from european festivals this year.

Can't wait for the results

well i havent seen ferry sober ill tell you that. but whatever i was on he just made better for me. and i could have been trippin but i remember ppl at TAO not wanting him to stop. i know i didnt. especially after he played the race which made that night all the more sweet. but i guess thats when we get into the producer over DJ debate. i do think ferry is a much better producer than DJ.
