Things are coming together nicely for the LA Decom! Everybody is so gung-ho and pitching in to make this a wonderful event! This is going to ROCK!

The park rangers have been very impressed with us as a group. For example, they have seen us picking up MOOP left by the organizers of the rock concert that was there last week, and there is A LOT of it! A lot of smokers were there and just threw their butts on the ground, and their cleaning crew thought "the lawnmowers would just pick them up." We are working on making the LA Decom an overnight event there in the future, and your help with picking up this MOOP would be greatly appreciated by us and the park service. Please bring a little plastic bag in your backpack or bag, and take a little time when you see some MOOP on the ground to please pick it up. Let's show the park service how we do it! And I mean not ONE piece of MOOP left in the park, just like we do it every year at Burning Man! If you want to come Sunday and help out with that, or other tear down activities, please come on down!

A couple other things--please drive 5MPH on the dirt roads in the park. The rangers do not like all the dust getting kicked up, and the neighbors probably don't either. Plus people are walking around not expecting some speeding car to come tearing down the road! Be a courteous driver OK?

You will enter the NORTH GATE of the park off Baker St. for parking. There is a south entrance for people arriving by MTA or who find a parking spot somewhere down there, but most people will probably use the north gate near the bridge and meet our all female parking staff inside.

Also, a reminder this is a state park, and alcohol will not be allowed in. We will have two beer and wine gardens for your libations.

a lot of people don't, burners, moontribe, etc. really drives that point home though

the simple act of picking up your crap helps keep venues, cops and forest rangers will let things slide, things won't get disrupted so much if it's cleaner afterwards than it was before

they talked about this stuff in the "ravers handbook" i was forced to read on the drive out to my first rave, haha =)

omg i'm so excited! i'm totally ready to go now and i'm gonna leave soon!

and the better news is that it's REALLY ONLY A 30% chance of rain at any one time during the day (60% chance of experiencing rain overall for the ENTIRE day)... and after 3pm it will be less than 20% chance, SO WE ARE GOOD TO GO!

Between 2-4 I'll be listening to my very good friends who I went with all together this year... DJ Davi (guy with dreads) and Anton Tumas (tall russian guy), they'll be mixing minimal and lounge shit at the "bouncey bounce/philadelphia experiment" section.

Yay!!!
