Raves were not as fucking expensive and prob not as shady in the fucking 90"s you fucking moron. If it was the 90"s , I could have gotten in that place for eight fucking dollars. Uhhh what don't you get? It wasn't a shitty underground party. It was a dope underground party. If it was a shitty party I bet they would have let you in for $8, but they put some time and money into making that shit happen and wanted to get compensated for it. How dare they!

Let me get this straight........If a group came up to you after they drove around for two and a half hours and gave you all they money they had which is a pretty good amount $41. Would you have let them in.......Kepping in mind it was just another rave just like the rest of them....

you mean when they would go into the slums of LA and break into a warehouse then setup equipment and hope the police dont show up, otherwise the party would get shut down and everyone would be out the money paid at the door? noooooo no raves were all thrown in nice legit permitted venues back in the 90s and only charged 5 dollars for a fully produced event.....

Ok maybe theye were just as sketchy ( drug and gangbanger wise) but it was def not as expensive . What do you have to say about that.

Why the hell should I not be pissed after the fact that we drove 2 1/2 hours just to get turned down after we had cash in our hands? We even stated that half would go in the first few hours and then the other half would switch off and they replied NO INS AND OUTS that fucking bitch.

seriously...no one has balls or money anymore to pay for those kind of events anymore....or sound and lighting crews don't want to help out enough for free/really cheap along with djs spinning for the music to throw those parties.

All i know is if I were to take my older brother who used to rave for five years about ten to thirteen years ago to that place and said "ok it is $15" I would have been embarrissed as hell and he would have called me a dipshit for paying that.

It's called inflation. A dollar isn't worth as much today as it was in 1990. It's like comparing quarters to dimes.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) is the typical standard to see how much "stuff" you can buy with the US dollar. In 1990 the index was at 130. In 2007 it was at 201.

With that info on hand... you can calculate that STUFF costs 55% more in 2007 than in 1990.

Crews can't find loop holes in plain and simple economics. It's just the nature of prices. Everything costs more, whether it's the DJ's.. the venue rental, the security deposit, the food, the bartender, the lights, the security guards, everything costs more.

I'm sure your brother is well aware of this fact as he seems he might be older and independent and he probably wouldn't have gotten as mad as you think he would've. (There was nothing to get embarrassed about!)

Anyway.. hope you successfully get in next time!
