and as for why the events have been getting more and more expensive is because of accommodations. Such as Hardcore Elysium, we brought out Impact, revived venue, Sparky Lighting, security, and Turbo sound. as for Uprise: a Brand NEW venue in LA..BIGGER than the Hudson!, like i said earlier over 14+ headliner djs, lighting companies, security, decorations, etc, etc. the door price WILL NOT go over $45 if even $40. honestly, to have over 14+ headliners, i think $30 is an awesome deal. rogue, this was not directy aimed towards you, but generally to everyone. |

LOCATION
So you want info about the venue do you? Well after searching through several beautiful venues in Los Angeles we ran into this beauty. A permitted venue just a few minutes drive from the heart of LA, and right off of a major highway. This place is huge...with over 27,000 square feet of art and music, this place just cant be beat. It houses several beautifully decorated areas; A 16,000 square foot main stage warehouse-like area. A 5,000 square foot second area. A 3,000 square foot chill area. A beautiful outdoor area for smoking or getting some fresh air. On top of that, it offers a secure 1000 car parking lot, you wont be driving around for 20 minutes trying to locate a spot on the street, or stuck paying $10.00 for a night in the parking garage. ![]() |

then you shouldnt have had the child until you were financially stable, which obviously you arent if you cant afford to go to a 50 dollar rave because you have to buy your child diapers or whatever. poor planning.

For a rave? Yes it is. Especially if you party every weekend, sometimes twice a weekend (as I, and many of you here, usually do). If I had to pay entry for most of the parties, I wouldn't party. People shouldn't ever think 50 bucks isn't a lot for a rave. The worldwide rave scene was founded on a scene that wasn't out for major profit and advertising. It was founded on $5-10 parties and a community that shared as much as possible with each other to make the scene the most positive it possibly can be. The ONLY reason we are paying these high of prices right now is 1) Venue owners raping us because they can, since we needed a few new secure locations to get back on track in 2008. and 2) Greedy promoters that are making an absolute killing on some of these parties. I won't name names but one crew has already taken in over a hundred thousand dollars profit from parties... in 2008 alone. Prices will not stay this high forever, at least in the 'real' underground scene. I no longer consider parties at places like the Hudson or especially the Massives to be real underground raves. I still go to them, and I love the Hudson myself (although once again I wouldn't pay the price If I had to), but the price that people are paying right now should not really be justified, especially with a bunch of these lineups only containing locals and nationwide (i.e. non-international) DJ's. |
