This is the first week for my fall semester too. As long as you talk with your professor' and let them know that you'll be gone for the first week, you'll be fine. I think Burning Man is totally worth to skip the first week. Yes you will fall behind on a lot, but cmon,...BURNING MAN. FYI this is at CSUN.

i would do something like talk to them before, but it's gonna be my first year at csun, so i don't wanna fall behind from the start, ya know? you think going to burning man for the weekend is worth it?

Its my first year too. I graduate high school June 16. It will be a lot of work to catch up on the first week of classes. You must also take into consideration the amount of time/organization/planning/money Burning man takes up. Remember it's in the middle of the desert, you have to bring A LOT of stuff to survive for a week...like A LOT. Me and Antranik are still wondering how we're going to fit everything in our old buick.
