For Fuck Sake have some respect for the drug you take. And respect for yourself. There is a fine line between "It's my body and i do what i want." to "I have a drug problem.."

As far as lights. People do not appreciate real art at raves. People cannot diffrenciate what real poi is or style.

What i do is poi... Grabbing some fucking novas and sticks then attatching strings and swinging them in all random directions and doing an occasional wrap is not poi.. sorry kids.

Poi is an art of circles. It takes time, practice, effort, and dedication to get to higher levels. When i see people swinging genuine poi or genuine unique style I shake their hands and talk to them about what they are doing becuase i know that they put the time and practice in as i do. Lots of people ask to try my poi. I let them and they end up damaging themselves physically. Then they really appreciate what i do becuase they realize its not some bullshit trick you can learn over night

Well out of this rant just know this. Develop a style or create your own and make it beautiful. Just don't flaunt yourself around like you are doing a style that in reality you cannot perform. And take note of the real artists in the scene.

Don't refer to music as "I love trance when im rolling" I know people that like EDM only at raves, outside of it they hate it, and these are the e tards that roll at every rave and don't know what the fuck is going on. At least don't be a fucking sheep for massives and say that -Insert Famous Artist- Is your favorite, just becuase everyone else said it is theirs. Just like Paul Oakenfold at EDC. His set blew, he played no produced shit. And all these noobs were like. "

HES SO GOOD." He trainwrecked over 3 times and had a horible track selection.

I ask ravers what PLUR is and they never answer it the right way. Yesterday someone told me "It means no drama" I have heard long rants about what PLUR is, but none of these idiots ever say...

PLUR is PEACE LOVE UNITY RESEPCT.

I have however met 4 ravers partying 12 years+ that go sober now. As soon as i asked them what PLUR is, they told me Peace love unity respect, cuase they know whats up.

Note the time that a select few put in, in order to give you a good light show. People like me practice poi everyday FOR YOU ravers cause I love to entertain. But now days people just look and think it is some easy shit that anyone can do.

Learn about what the scene has to offer, don't make PLUR a fucking research paper, take it for what it is. Peace, Love, Unity, Respect. If you want to live PLUR then do it, don't fucking talk about it and say all this shit that he/she/you...are so PLUR in some situation.

Know what you are listening to, and enjoy it for the music it is, and if you like it personally. Don't like it cuase everyone else does, and Don't like it just cuase it makes you roll good.

This concludes my rant. Stay true niggas. Sorry if i was harsh on the light part, i am just a nazi because all these "bad ass" lightshows today, are really... well... just bad.

cool bro. you should def hit up a psytribe party. theres on on the 18th this month. totally dif vibes. youll prob have a blast. it sucks that we have to pound drugs into ourselves to mask how horrible our surroundings are lately. i been goin sober too and honostly...i havnt even wanted to roll at any of these parties let alone fry. the people are ...gross, like you said. i totally get what you mean. its like they all have a slimey filmy layer on them n no dignity/self respect hhahahaha thats the only way to describe it.

im saving this lovely bay area acid i have for psytribe fo sho though. finally a party worth dropping at. the venue has all kinds of sculptures and art all over and the mainstage has a spaceship or somethin that looks ike a spaceship above it rofl. its gonna be dope as fuck.

but yea i think some people have mistaken this for a dont do drugs thread. i dont give a fuck if people do drugs at a party. im pro freedom of choice. but have some self respect in yourself, or if not, then at least respect those around you. noone wants to see you passed out on the floor or acting like a spaz.

It kind of annoyed me at the end of tiggers that people were just sitting there, not doing anything but looking at lights or so. Even though i sat outside near the where the shirts were being sold, it was because i was tired of dancing, and because the mainstage area was a freaking oven to be in. During Discord's set i was dancing at the front of the crowd(sometimes getting up on stage to get the crowd to clap along with the buildup, or the beats.) That in my opinion was fun to do!

But after that I wanted to just chill with friends(though during the beginning of Crackerjack's set i started to dance again.)

It is much more fun sober, especially when you know the music!

Enough going a little off topic..

The thing about all these new(I would be considered new, even though my first rave was What You Want @ Raver Ranch(it really was shut down?) in september 2005, but i've only been to about 10 raves since) people is that none of them know their music, they only know that people are there, and that the music is "for drugs" in their opinion, or atleast that is the vibe i get.

I feel the same, I don't really feel inclined or want to roll at any raves. I would personally rather have 1 or 2 beers now and just dance, maybe smoke a bit. I'd save rolls for massives so i can hear shit like AvB, Carl Cox, Above & Beyond, etc..

Drugs don't get respect. LoL. So many noobs freak out on acid, I crack up.

its a crew that throws psytrance/goa/glitch/downtempo only shows and attracts a much dif crowd of party goers. they pull the burner crowd which are much more friendly/energetic people. very quarky and im sure most of them are on hallucinogens but they all dance! people perform dif types of art forms such as firepoi, staffing, juggling, and hoolahooping while the music plays. some people come in costumes and totally go nuts lol.the best part is u cant even tell whos on drugs cuz everyones fuckin nuts hahahah but yea they all maintain their composure. you dont really see people freaking out on the floor n shit. you might like that scene better.

about paul oakenfold: he sucked massive fucking balls(pun intended)
if i was insomniac id be fucking pissed. paying like 20 thousand dollars for a dj to come and he spins a genre he doesnt even play and none of his own production? people are paying massive prices to here production, not a fucking ipod playing other peoples songs. if we wanted to hear random track selections wed just pay 20 bucks to go to a rave. when i go for a headliner i wanna hear their fucking songs. thatd be like paying 50 bucks to see metallica and they play christina aguilera songs the entire show. its not right and he shouldnt get booked anymore if he cant deliver, no matter how big his name is
