Never saw the thread, good stuff. My ultra late reply:

It's been that way for a few years for me and Im used to it now. All I see are underagers and rolltards. So I stopped worrying about it cause there's almost no way to sway a trend of that magnitude. You can do little things, but history shows once a path starts being taken in the scene, it will continue on a 'wave' until it dies out and the next generation begins their reign.

And in all reality, it's not "too" much different than what it's always been, or at least since about 1997 when things picked up on the California side of things and newbs started influxing bigtime..

But about the drug education, thats a different story, something CAN be done about that. i dont put in 4-5 hours of straight manual work/code/articles up on Erowid for nothing. Even preventing one person (specially friend) from doing something stupid with the wrong drug is worth it to keep preaching the safety of moderation and behavior.

So many ravers are fucking themselves up way harder than others at raves, even if the exact same drugs in the same quantities are being ingested. When I do E, I roll absolute balls and also take other combo substances, but I guarantee pre-load/post-load/activity/healthy-choices while taking those drugs can cut down the damage and side effects to those drugs by over 50% at the minimum. Gotta do it right!

well the plur patrol worked like a charm. we kept them off the dance floors all night and everyone loved it. after seeing the entire main room at How Sweet It Is i was like, ill get a fuckin fire extinguisher and start hosing people before ill let that happen at our party!

just shows that when you get a bunch of people with the same cause together, you can affect change!

Oh yeah for sure, you can help individual parties no doubt. I always do that shit, except usually its only a temporary solution then roll tards will sit back down a few mins later but if you have the group-manpower to do something for a good portion of the night then thats worth it for everyone.

The general trend as an overall aspect needs to change before we really get to a "new point" in the scene where less blatant drug-atmosphere will be present. You never find that atmosphere anywhere but the west coast and I think we are just going through an extended phase.
