The line to get in was so damned long.... but it didn't matter..
I was 17 at the time, with my brother (14) and his friend (14).
Their first times at a rave... but only weed and booze, no pills, whatever..

We kept smoking bowl after bowl in line, sharing with the people around us..
We also kept running back to the car in turns to hit the handle of tequila we
had in the trunk..

After 2 hours of smoking bowls and talking to everyone, we finally got in...
Just as Irvine PD showed because some chick was puking into the gutter,
something that looked like OJ. Bad drugs?

They had the rock-climbing going, and some retarded version of laser tag as well. I recognized at least 10 people from my high school... The main dance area was the arcade area... Trance.. Outside was some light drum n bass.. somewhere else was house, I think, but I was so fuckin smitten by these girls that were there,
that I just kinda.. hung around the trance area ahahahahah
I don't remember the DJ's, nor the name of the party.
My brightest memory of that party is that I kept thinking:
"I can't believe how beautiful all the people here are!! So warm, so generous,
so caring..." It was my first real experience of a true rave feeling without X, cause I hadn't even done X at that point, though I had been to 2 other raves before then that were fun, but not as intimate and cool.
It was so awesome!!!!!! AAAAAahhhh the memories.. I am so nostalgic right now.

I saw your post, man.
It really does sound the same, but that actually makes sense.
I am sure it's not the same party: I was 17 when I went to the previous one: I know this because I freaked out thinking that I might have to show my ID, thinking it would be 18+, and found out from people in line that it wasn't.
I didn't turn 18 until September of 1998.
The layout of the party you refer to sounds very similar to the party I went, yet when I went there were no gokarts (I did check), and the party ended at like 2:00am. Around that time, Irvine PD was arguing with personnel about something, and so they kicked everyone out shortly after. I actually only got to chill at the party for like 3-4 hours.
I wish I would have been able to go back......fuck.

Holy Shit!!! Young American Primitive live!!! I can't believe I missed that one. I actually was going to raves about six months before this happened. For the size of lineups in the U.S. back in 1993 that lineup was huge. It's also good to see that so many of those names either are still playing out or did for many years.

I grew up in O.C. but I've never been to a rave there.

I frequent Tentation anytime there is a DJ i want to see spinning there. The crowd is "OCish", not quite as kick back as Vanguard but full of beautiful girls. The drink prices are high and the security can be dicks. The only reason I go is because I have hook ups in Giant and its fun to see some DJs in a small venue.

The party at Wild Rivers was fucking insane,

there were DJ's spinning in the waterpark in multiple areas.

Lemme repeat: There were DJ's spinning at the bottom of slides and stuff.

EDIT: Im talking about a party which was at Wild Rivers (or was it Raging Waters? Does anyone remember?) in 2003. Not the one in 93 pictured in this thread. LOL.. i was 9 then.
