The party at palace park or boomers in irvine was called Dizzyland it happened in 2001 . The party went from 8pm to 7 the next day. they pushed all the arcade games to the sides of the building but left them on to play. They used the simulator area for trance and the macdonalds area for jungle, main area was house and later hardcore. There was great sound the buiding was rumbling all night.Great music. The gokarts and most of the rides were going till 5 in the morning (what a rush that was). There was a prom going on in the flour daniel building nearby and alot of those kids went to the rave as there afterparty. The mini golf course was the best toking path. Its nice to know that i was once able to be part of an amazing all night bust free rave with almost 2500 people in south oc. Hopefully one day again what a night

if someone has a flier please post it

Yes...

It was summer 1998, warm..
We had to park at some kind of large industrial parking lot next to a large
office building...

The line to get in was so damned long.... but it didn't matter..
I was 17 at the time, with my brother (14) and his friend (14).
Their first times at a rave... but only weed and booze, no pills, whatever..

We kept smoking bowl after bowl in line, sharing with the people around us..
We also kept running back to the car in turns to hit the handle of tequila we
had in the trunk..

After 2 hours of smoking bowls and talking to everyone, we finally got in...
Just as Irvine PD showed because some chick was puking into the gutter,
something that looked like OJ. Bad drugs?

They had the rock-climbing going, and some retarded version of laser tag as well. I recognized at least 10 people from my high school... The main dance area was the arcade area... Trance.. Outside was some light drum n bass.. somewhere else was house, I think, but I was so fuckin smitten by these girls that were there,
that I just kinda.. hung around the trance area ahahahahah
I don't remember the DJ's, nor the name of the party.
My brightest memory of that party is that I kept thinking:
"I can't believe how beautiful all the people here are!! So warm, so generous,
so caring..." It was my first real experience of a true rave feeling without X, cause I hadn't even done X at that point, though I had been to 2 other raves before then that were fun, but not as intimate and cool.
It was so awesome!!!!!! AAAAAahhhh the memories.. I am so nostalgic right now.

I went to Tentations once, and it was definitely a
suitable replacement for driving all the effin way to hollywood for GIANT at the Vanguard.

Although, you may already be able to guess that certain south OC people
have a desperate need to live up to the pathetic stereotypes exemplified
in "THE OC", but whatever. It's still good music, and a good time with the
right company

Yes Sonny.... Your time was still at the height of the wave
I had the pleasure of starting in, quite blandly, when I was 15 or so. I'd have to say that my favorite rave ever was in 2000...
"Close Encounters" at the Alexandria..
That was a great time for parties...people were detaching from the "Rave Machine" that was blooming into the corporate beast it is now...
and doing their own parties, for almost nothing (as far as $)
for the sake of preserving the feel.. the love...

I heard, from my ex who was Jewish, that Infected Mushroom in Israel was one of the best shows she'd ever seen.
Shit, I'd go to Israel just for the parties.. I've seen many a vid of those parties!!
