wasn't she saying that she wanted a simple pair of jeans and a t-shirt?

thats so indie....

and...wouldnt the shit at ross or a vintage place be cheaper?

when i think sweatshop i think athletic stores like "Champs" or "footlocker."

and that stuff gets pricey.

am i hallucinating these awful posts by juno?

a lot of the homeless people on haight street wear American Apparel. five finger discount anyone?

but they also wear the stuff you see when you walk into aardvarks or a random t shirt store. love it.

Who are you two trying to kid? The only people who go to thrift stores are poor folks and indiefags looking for their next "I'm the Boss" t-shirt fix.

P.S. - Thrift stores may be cheap for now, but other indiefags have taken notice and started their own places (Buffalo Exchange).

Back to the original subject, pls:

I don't post a whole lot on here.. because most of what goes on is nonsense, and for fun. But I just wanted to add my opinion, even though it's a year old thread. Please note, I got too lazy to read past page 9, so..yeah.

What is with all the hate for the rave "scene"? Kandi Kids, the drugs, the clothes.. WTF? If you don't like all this? I say go to a club instead. The people there will most likely be sober, or maybe have a few drinks, and be wearing nice black and white clothing for your enjoyment.

Please, don't let any of us who have to dress 'normal' 5-6 days a week, ruin your good times (and maybe even blind you, oh noes!), with our brightly colored clothing, and handmade kandi pieces. Some of which are given by people we may have never met ,had we not been welcomed into the rave scene in the first place.

I go to raves to meet people. And dance, and enjoy myself and my friends. Unfortunately, because I *DO* have a real job, and life, I only get to party every couple of months. And it ends of being a whole trip, with drive, hotel etc.. So when I get there, I WANT to see kandi kids. People who you know are going to put off some great vibes, and be crazy friendly.

When I saw the How Sweet pics.. it almost made me sad. Happy I didn't end up going. There were only like 4 kandi kids! It looked like a hip hop concert. Everyone crammed into this place.. 90% wearing black and white, or some other neutral colors. And not nearly enough light toys.

So, I say again, you don't like the rave sene, don't go to raves. Stay home with your burnt out selves, and probably your burnt out friends.

You people ruin the rest of our good times. Just having you around scowling, waiting for someone to sit down and get a lightshow, or just chill, throws off our good vibes.

And let me just clarify before everyone rages, I am not someone who sits around, especially on the dance floor. I think if someone needs or wants to sit, they should do it off to the side. I also think 'real' raves should be at least 18+, it would solve a lot of the scenes problems. Also, I am not a rave hoe, I wear clothes. Cute ones.

But relax people. No one is hurting you. All this talk about "returning to what it used to be"... From what I understand, it all started with the Kandi Kids and thier happy drugs. The rest of the bullshit has come from police restrictions and money hungry promoters.

*sigh*

Anyways, I'm done for now. I have to go to my real job, since I am a functioning member of society 95% of the year. Then next weekend, I'm off to forget about all that for a couple days.

Hope to see some of you non haters there at Fresh. I'll be wearing a Pink, Black & White Corset with a Black and Pink poofy tutu (and some other stuff so I'm not half nekkid..). Oh yeah. And Kandi? You better fucking believe it. I plan on passing some out to the plurrest mofo's I meet.

So why when I go look at your pics on myspace your homies are wearing bandanas and flat brims at raves, and yet you critisize HSII for looking like a Hip-Hop concert. Does that make any sense whatsoever?
