Either way, you need to stop assuming every girl at a rave is going to do this shit. Maybe down south this is the norm, but at most of the raves up here in the bay area, that shit rarely happens. The most you'll see is one or two people that just can't wait till they get home to bump and grind.

I completely understand where most of you are coming from. I am not a big fan of where the scene has gone either. When I started partying in NorCal parties were all about the music, and cute rave girls wore ufos/kickwears and visors...maybe a sports bra. Nowadays people wear nothing but tape.

I think its great you dug through and got those pictures, but those girls wanted that picture. Sorry, its not a great picture to me but if they want that picture, they get it. There were 1200 pictures from that party. A few of them are not going to be the greatest, but I try to get the best I can.

I try the best I can to take pictures of everyone. Girls, guys, any raver that is out there. 15 or 50, I am going to take pictures of everyone if they want me to. It does get a little crazy at parties with people who want their pictures taken, and yes alot of those are girls, but I still try and get everyone. That is why I started using other photographers as well. That way I can concentrate on talent/production/staff a little more. In the next couple months TLY will go to a format where people can submit photos from any party they attend, anywhere.

So say what you will. If you really know me as a friend (and there are those on here that do) you know that I have nothing but good intentions. I do nothing illegal or against the law, I even go out of my way to not post pictures of people really fucked up. If you dont like me or my photography, then just dont visit TLY. If you have suggestions or something that you think would help, I am always open to suggestions. Kinda like with this discussion I might think about when someone wants a picture like that again.

I feel you though OP, I know exactly where you are coming from...we had to toss a couple of drugged up ho's from one of our recent shows for indecent exposure and trying to grabbing crotch. We almost called the cops because of fear for their safety(horny kids) and liability issues to the venue. It's definately a problem when they become belligerent and a safety hazard on the dance floor.

This might be the most cliché of arguements, but in the classical roman and greek times, humans were comfortable with their sexuality and nakedness. Sex wasn't as taboo as it is in today's society. I mean, alright, maybe the pictures themselves are taking it a bit far, but is it controversial of me to think that maybe a girl showing off her physique isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be?

Of course there are differences if you apply their philosophy to today's modern world. We've been introduced to STD's. We have immature girls (not just age-wise) with not much life experience flauting their sexuality for the wrong reasons (maybe if i'm sexy they will like me!). We have cases of unconsensual rape.

But I do believe clothes and ban on sexuality is society's influence on us. Of course that's not really our fault to bend to it, since it's all we've been accustomed to since birth. But sex feels good. Touch feels good. The word "slut" is overused and thrown about too easily.

You shouldn't be blackmarked a slut for provocative dancing, provocative touching, provocative dressing, but it's the way we've come to understand it and it's probably the way it'll stay.

Ehhhhh that being said, sexuality is part of human nature and it will always prevail. It's just our attitudes about it that we can adjust. Hopefully one day we will become more comfortable with it, and we will be able to enjoy casual sex with friends (if the necessary precautions are taken) and actually ENJOY our sexuality that we have been so blessed with.

I believe the taboo on sexuality stems from our Puritan and Christian grounding. I hate religious constrictions.
