See this whole underage kids at raves thing is quite strange to me. It really is an L.A. thing. My "hey-day" raving was in SF which is has a very strict 18 and over policy. So it was always like college kids and a couple of 60-year old hippies from Berkeley. |

but most people were over 17 at least I think. and many were in their 20's that's like a small % of people now ![]() ![]() Things were never strict here, but obviously as raves get more popular and being all ages they are just going to draw in so many kids.....hey if you are young thats fucking great for you...if you are still going to EDM parties at 25 then hell I'll give you a fucking ribbon . ![]() It just seems if you go when you are so young then you will get burned out easier? just a theory of mine. fucking parents and all that shit will try and crush the party monkey inside of you.....fuck ![]() Quote:

Parents don't.It's very easy for a teenager to find a friend with a car and to say "I'm spending the night at a friends." If there was a statistic on this I'm sure the amount of kids that actually tell their parents where they are going would be slim to none.I know some people do tell their rents what they are doing but most know they wouldn't be allowed to go if they did.Raves are a lot more accessible now from what I've heard about the past.So the easier they are to get to the younger the crowd will be.

Hey, I think you are as old as you feel. I just got into the rave seen and I fucking love it!
I'm 27 and plan on going to many more events until I get tired of them. As for all the young kids, it does not bother me at all. I love to see people of all ages get together and have a good time. + I've seen a girl at my first rave who was like 12 or 13 years old rolling ballz. That was king of shocking, but come to think of it, I was only two years older when I experimented with drugs. They just need to be better educated on how to take E w/o getting sick. |

For some, raving has become their way of life. I'm a producer and dj. I'm also a father and husband. It's hard for many youngsters to realize that there's more to the rave than staying out all night and doing drugs. To be honest, as you get older those options end up having less appeal because it's more accepted when you're older. I'm 32 years old, I can stay out as late as I want. I have a well paying job, so if I spend a few bucks on "party favors", it won't mean my bills won't get paid.
In that sense, it sort of takes the fun out of doing those things. So you find other reasons to stay involved. You take the "rebellion" out of it and you find that you're there because you truly can't dance to that kind of music anywhere else. That you can't get the same energy and vibe from anywhere else. I have two teenage sons, but I've been a raver for longer. I've been a dj all their lives. My youngest has me teach him about audio production. My oldest plays guitar. This is from being around the music. They make money selling the water at my desert parties. Drugs are everywhere, there's no hiding it or pretending that they don't exist. I teach my children to be responsible. I teach them that if they choose to do drugs, there are consequences that may be fatal. I try to keep them educated. My oldest son choses not to do drugs. My youngest is curious, but I give him the straight facts to him. I can't control whether he chooses to do drugs or not. I can only educate him to make responsible choices. |
