I never lied about saying where I was going.
I'd simply say, "I'm going to a music festival. Lots of people are going to be playing in all kinds of genres... yes, mom. People are going to be taking drugs. Doesn't mean that I will be taking them." (Although I was, but I never said that I wasn't.)

NO LIES IN THERE!
THAT is what you must tell your parents.

P.S. I was 16 when I started raving and my friend started when she was 15... she's now a pre-med student.
