this reminds me of a time when I met a girl at a party, she said she was "18" , I doubted it though, looked more like 15 or 16. Later that night I bumped into one of her guy friends and he told me her dad found out she wasn't at "her friends house" like she told him. He drove out to the party and went inside, looked for her, and took her back home.

This reminds me of a story Spongebob told me! Except. I cant remember all the details so I'll say it when he gets home.
But it involved some girl going to a rave and her parents finding out and getting pissed and going to it.
I believe it was in Norcal.

i used to tell them i was going to a friends house, the movies, or a bonfire. my mom was cool bout it though. but now they dont really care as long as i dont get them in trouble or get killed or something.

i dont know, its a rather hard subject to me, because im nearly 18 now, but i wouldnt have liked to not have been able to go before. ive been able to keep my own, and managed to control myself, but i do agree that most people my age cant, so without being hypocritical, i agree to the age limit.


i do think that there should be at LEAST a 16 year age limit, i saw a 10-12 year old bot popping e at edc =[




raves should be about the love of people not the love of drugs. im not saying they arent nice, but they dont need to revolve around them

seriously though, when it comes to age limits i'd rather instead that parents take 10 seconds out of their day to realize what the fuck their kids are doing and decide what is right for them. 14 year olds do not get paychecks. 14 year olds do not drive cars. where the fuck are so many of these little kids getting money to go to raves, how are they getting there? i'd like to see more kids being real with their parents. raves are not thrown in my city, everyone carpools to san bernadino or downtown LA. and in almost every car i ride in, there is some girl on the phone to daddy telling him she's sleeping over at a friend's house. i was always up front to my parents about raves, and not just where i was but the entire experience. smoking, drinking, lsd use, ecstasy use, shrooms, weed, the entire deal. granted, obviously i would probably be disowned in a large number of families. at the same time though i can't approve of rampant dishonesty and lying simply because all you want to do in life is rave rave rave and your parents want to see you take another direction. i used to take my younger friends to raves and parties a lot. i stopped when it became blatantly obvious that they were not only lying to their parents about where they were, but spending their parents' money on drugs. if you have your own job/cash, your own car/ride, and you're upfront enough to your parents about where you are, in my mind you're mature enough for the rave scene. if you have to spin a web of lives every time you go to a rave, you probably don't belong at them.

hmmmm... well...let me see, I have my own car, cash, and ride, BUT I actually have to spin a web of lies when i tell my parents where I go. They think I stopped raving when I got it trouble last year. but i'm slightly older than 18. wait, i forgot where I was going with this.......umm.......uhhhhh..alcohol's the DEVIL!! .....wait......yes....make them over 18 events. It's easier to not get in trouble then.
