The fuuuuuuuuuurthest back I can remember would be......
uuuuhhhhhh like 1997 or 1998..... a little rave was held at a miniature golf
course in OC (before the county caught on)

The lighting consisted of mainly regular 500w lamps
attached to a lighting cage..mostly red, purple, blue, white.
I think there may have been some mini-projectors, shooting
images of snowflakes or something on the walls.

There were definitely glowsticks and torches, but not much else
from what I recall. I was really really really blazed that night, and
it was around the time I started smoking...so I mean BLAZED!!

People wore less intricate, but just as colorful attire,
and seemed to be a bit easier to approach/talk to back then.

I just wanna chime in on this cause this bugs me so much. Lighting sux balls these days.
