For that much, i would expect at LEAST three headliners in each room.
No, im not talking about the default 'Headliners' that actually LIVE in LA and play here all the time like Thee-O or Krystina Sky (no offense to them, i think they're amazing). It seems like every Hudson party is like that these days with maybe another random headliner i've never heard of who is really just a local in another nearby state who 'looks' famous because their name is at the top. Its a cheap marketing trick of tricking kids into paying more for inexpensive talent. Sure the Hudson is an expensive venue. Sure you have to pay for security, flyers, DJs, and everything else. But it becomes obvious to those who have been partying for a much longer time that its pretty pointless when you can see the exact same talent for $15 at another party. Half the time i dont bother to check out the DnB room, so why should i pay more for a headliner i wont see because im too busy rockin out to trance or hardcore? I think names like Cosmic Gate or Eric Prydz would be a nice change. Personally I dont care for either much, but they are popular names so they will bring more people out. My idea is that we bring out New names for people to discover and learn about, while still attracting them with a name they will recognize. A good balance of everything. |

Hell no. Because even if they did have the best lineup ever, that would also mean that there would be more ravers there than even that venue could hold (6,000 or so) and it would be too crowded to even have fun with the awesome lineup they would have pulled for a $65 party.

I'd pay 65 buck at the hudson if you could resurect Ray Charles and have him Vs. Stevie Wonder. That would be worth it...
