Man, I don't know. I think my first *official* DnB experience was listening to some old Jungle tracks on the computer back in 2003, and Pendulum in 2004.

They all sounded all the same to me.After that I put my hands on a mix by loxy
the tracklist consisted of bad company, kemal,ed rush & optical, etc dubs.It was
the fresh sound I was after.Soon I found myself on drum and bass parties,as I got
more into the vibe it consumed me.

Default Rap.

During '95, some of My friends and I had been discussing Jungle theoretically at parties and what not; I had been reading about Goldie & Neotropic[trip-hop] and was becoming 'fluent' in JUNGLE Lingo..
One nite, at Gil & Khiry's crib [Gil was from Jersey/Khiry from Mass.], this sound I'd never heard before was emanating from the speakers...I looked at the DJ Rap mix CD [can't 'member which one] and turned the speaker to my face...

remix Re: What got u into DnB?

Me and my friend took the train to ny a couple years ago, we both had the day off and thought it would be a good idea. After walking around all day and were making our way back to station, walking really bad road, but of course we werent thinking of that since we were at a bar previously. thats when i guy appear in front of us with a gun. the demands were as you'd expect and we lost our purses. with no money for a ticket we headed to our friend house to borrow some money and got lost ending up at my first dnb rave. thats when it all started...

He doesn't spit through the entire sets but when he does spit, it is good. One of the best things about XYZ is he doesn't do rewinds. I have seen him MC an entire set where he does not do a rewind. At most he will do 1 and I give him props for that. I fucking hate when MC's rewind the track. I don't care how sick the track is. It kills the vibe. It haults the flow. Anyway, I got off topic. XYZ is good. You may not like someone but that doesn't mean they suck.

Mc's dont do the rewinds, dj's do.. And xyz may be able to rhyme words but who can't he doesn't bring any extra flavor, he has an almost monotone approach to Jungle mc'ing. He does indeed spit clearly and never fails, but just like any mc he often spits jibberish when he forgets the words.

The best LA mc is DRE for sure, he writes his own raps and gets UK awards.

The best UK mc in my opinion is MC Dynamite , he has such strong lyrical content and such a good way of rapping it
