I thought that techstep and liquid are more dnb than jungle. I would consider hardstep more jungle than techstep. Just my thoughts.
Any who if you want jungle then check out an n20 event.. they are always playing the bomb jungle tracks

oscar da grouch

My best friend is on the N20 DJ Roster

And Jungle started mostly in like 93 or so. And jeez, not that tired old DRUM AND BASS/JUNGLE shit. It's just a name.

"Drum and bass (commonly abbreviated to d&b, DnB, dnb, drum n bass and drum & bass) is a type of electronic dance music also known as jungle. Emerging in the early 1990s, the genre is characterised by fast tempo broken beat drums (generally between 160–180 beats per minute) with heavy, often intricate basslines. Today, drum and bass is still considered an underground musical style, but its currents of influence run throughout popular music and culture."

byahhhh.

It started as jungle, then some wankstas changed the name to DnB unofficially cause they thought the term jungle was racist.

Yeah, breakbeat hardcore split into two distinct sounds around 92 or so, one going into the higher pitched, more "kiddy" sounding style, such as Sesame's Treet, and one style branched off into the "darkcore" style which evolved into jungle. Jungle and drum and bass names were used for different styles a year or so after that, and the term jungle was kinda blackballed when people stopped doing the ragga sound in turn for shit like Omni Trios was putting out. But all in all, they are pretty much interchanged for the same main broad genre, and most styles that would be considered drum and bass today started off as offshoots of the jungle sound and vice versa. Pretty much, they are just terms for the same thing, and no subgenres really use the term jungle or drum and bass, so it doesn't matter much which term you use, and only noobs get so looney over that shit.

yeah fuck all that willy nilly nonsense. Just educate yourself about dope producers and listen to shit you like and fuck all the rest. Been into jungle for like 10-11 years now, and it seems to work for me.

Discussing Drum and Bass on this forum is pointless, [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] ftw for that kind of stuff.

lol

imagine on junglescene.com the post "do raver's/junglist's/people still like jungle?"

i wonder how many would answer yes.

that seems pointless to me

it's like going to tranceaddict and asking people there if people still like trance, hehe

anyhow, i love uk breakbeat hardcore and the "oldschool techno", that was the first "techno" i heard back in the day, [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] were the songs that made me fall in love with electronic dance music

if someone had an oldschool techno/breakbeat hardcore night or room or party, i'd so be there =)
