Hey, ive been looking through the forums and have yet to find anything on Aphrodite. Aphrodite is the shit, greatest techno ive ever listened to. My favorited is dj sku mix of aphrodite songs, i listen to it all the time. Does anyone here like them or him or w/e?

Umm I'm not sure I would call him a "Techno" DJ. He is Drum and Bass, actually Jump Up to be more specific. But yeah he is good. He most definitely has his own sound that stands out from many other DnB DJs. I like that rolling Jump Up style of his basslines.

If you like aphrodite stuff you should check out Mickey Finn, and urban shakedown. I like this stuff much better. You should also check out AWOL, live at the ministry of sound circa 1995. One of the best dnb mix cd's of all time in my opinion

Last Aphrodite I saw (though I didn't actually go to the show) was back at Monster Massive 2002 or something like that, but I'm sure there's more recent shows

And yeah, Aphrodite is awesome, he's the first thing to really get me into EDM. The Man of Steel mix is amazing

aphrodite is a fucking dick. his most famous track (man of steel) wasn't even written my him, it was produced by a dj from canada (toronto). his style has been exactly the same since 93 era. he music hasn't evolved at all, and dnb is constantly evolving and changing and thats what makes the genre so great, while he's still trapped in the mid nineties sound. i like a few of his tracks but i'm just not a big fan of jump up. i know he helped bring dnb to a bigger audiance and all but the man is a world class asshole.

Good god! Finally!! Dont get it twisted, he is a decent producer but C.topher is right, I have been going to parties for soo damn long and every song I hear sound the same as the last 40 or so. You got to give him credit but I dont consider him to be even close to my favorites. I mean hes has been in the game for a long time but there are people out there that have been in the game for a lot less time then he has and they are better the he is. So thats why I feel the way I do about him. His last CD had a couple good songs and thats that.

People still like aphrodite, hahahahaha. Shit lets take a bassline kinda alter it a little bit put a hip hop sample over a 2 step break and release it, LAME. Aphrodite can go fuck himself, and his ugly haircut.

newraver, your obviously new. Dig deeper into the world of dnb rather then just finding the most obvious producers, there is a lot better shit then aphrodite.
