Can someone enlighten me on the exact nature of NRG? I know it is in the genre of trance (or more as psy-trance), but is it actually a genre of it's own? At most raves, areas are listed as Trance & NRG. Personally, I think I am able to decipher the difference of the 2, and if so, I like NRG better. At the raves I go to in Mexico, the area is called Psy-Trance or Psycho and it sounds the same as when I'm in areas in the states that are referred to as NRG.
What does NRG stand for? Is there a meaning? I try to search the web on NRG and come up with nothing. Any info will be greatly appreciated. PLURR, R-DEE (big-up to my TRANCELUCID boys) |

I don't know, I'm pretty new to the whole scene, I'm guessing that nrg is music you would find up in a club that caters more towards house music. Did you check wikipedia on NRG?

Well I definitely know that it is not a form of the house genre. I also have never heard of it referred in any clubs. It has always been associated with either trance or psy-trance.
I was in San Fran for the holiday weekend to attend ETD POP and went to an after party at The Gingerbread Warehouse (Which I thought was way better than the POP, but that's a different story.) Anyway, this party was pure NRG and I can't get enough of it. The quest for info is still on... please reply!!! PLURR, R-DEE (Big-Up to the TRANCELUCID Crew) |
