As some of you know, I reciently started to spin...
Would it be koshier to drop Darude - Sandstorm at a party? since the song was extremely played out back in 00, 01' and so on... |

as long as it fits w/in your set, that it flows right into it, then you can drop any record that you want, know matter how old or played out it may have been.

Depends on your set and the crowd....
If your dropping hints at older stuff like that and they're diggin it then go for it! Just feel it out....You will know... that is unless you stick to a rehearsed set list. - - - - - |

i am a firm believer in playing old and new stuff together unless I am getting paid a lot of money to dj, then I will play all current stuff. But, when I play out for a small crowd at a bar, I like to mix it up and play everything.
You can play whatever you want, but you don't want to play all the classics (BTW, I do not think sandstorm is a classic, just using it as an example) |

What's kewl if you play at like a bar and spin old skewl techno and they're digging it like it's new stuff. I got a good laugh when Darky did that at the Crush Bar. He was playing Robert Miles just at the point it could be called old school, now it's like Classic status.
