I agree too. I remember how the scene was back in 1999 when I first started going. It was all the Love and friendliness from the people that kept me going to so many parties.

Well then it's settled. Everyone get two jobs, start saving every penny you make, and in a few months, we'll be able to buy us some land....Then we'll always have a place to throw parties every weekend, and the ravers will be there all the time. Then, the party promoters will have to come to us and throw parties on our land because that's where all the ravers will be anyway.
Then instead of having 2 parties a night, and having to choose....ALL the ravers will be at the same place, and it will be crazy and amazing. And you'll never have to worry about whether or not there is a party on the weekend, because you'll just know that there will definitely be one at our place..... Yep, that sounds good... |

it kinda sounds to me like us "old schoolers" if you will, are all at the same place. we want the dancing, the music, the awesome vibes and no more drugs and misguided kids. so i'm hoping the parties coming up will reflect that.
oh i'm new here by the way ![]() |

we have a nice semi-underground scene in chicago its fun. Plur is a really stupid word though.

I felt the focus of this article was more on the emergence of the music as the main attraction, hence the change in outfits, social interactions, and general vibe.
Maybe if it were about the drugs again the candy ravers and plur kids would come back. <kidding> ETA: I want in on the land plan! I know i will grow up eventually, growing out of raves, and the surrounding culture: but i can't deny that i'd love to be a promoter, or work in lighting, sound, or do some recording with local DJs. We joke about it now, but it's possibly a career revenue if we could stick it out and still enjoy it. |
