UGH! I just saw that about three weeks ago!!! A friend and I were talking about it and we drove by for old times sake and... BAM! The whole block is leveled... they're building a school or something on the property...

It was a sad, sad moment...

haha, as much as I would love having the masterdome back, it is gone... maybe hope for the fox? that was a bomb venue

After my cousin RoRo got shot there, Don and the family reopen only to have the Van Nuys AB do another shooting. That was the last straw as LA detectives came down and told Don to close down. They came back with a warrant and confiscated all the equipment and put locks on the doors. The property was sold not much later. The venue was small but it was a place that I could really call home. I never had to pay to play, come and go as I please. Oh and I love the access to what I called the VIP room. That place holds a lot of memories, memories all the way back to the 9th grade when Eddie was still alive, that venue was nothing more than a karaoke bar. We would be allow in there to drink and sing karaoke.

Agreed....I loved both not for the enormous about of acid going around....but because for one La Casa had multiple levels and a great area to dance in. The People were very cool as well as the whole layout of the place....The Fox was one of my Favs as well because it was nice how they had all those cheap ass crappy seats above and below and the setup in front was also great.....hey remember the music they played around 3-5 or so how it was always the trippiest techtrance, or techhouse...i do believe I was candy flipping way too good by that time so I never remember exactly what was going on, but it was a great place all the same.


PS remember that guy at La Casa and possibly other ones that would wear the pants full of stuffed animals, I dont think I'll ever forget that
