The word is that they---
- Usually are staked out near entrances / exit of a party, or near the restrooms - Inititate the dialog, usually looking for "X" and a big giveaway is when they are looking for "GHB" - wearing a hat or cap of some sort, but not in the rave style (bill is usually straight forward not in a relaxed angle) - Will wanna buy something like 6 doses or so without asking about how good the stuff is - Dont dance at all - Ask too many questions that even newbies wont ask - Look too serious but trying the best to blend in |

There are some terrific fallacies in your post. Some of the problems that arise are the issues of entrapment. However, you are probably 99% correct in your description of a narc.
In order for someone to be a victim of entrapment, these things MUST occur: - First, the idea for committing the crime came from the government agents and not from the person accused of the crime. - Second, the government agents then persuaded or talked the person into committing the crime. Simply giving him the opportunity to commit the crime is not the same as persuading him to commit the crime. - And third, the person was not ready and willing to commit the crime before the government agents spoke with him. On the issue of entrapment the government must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant was not entrapped by government agents. - "USC Law Library" [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] That is the beauty of this defense. |

Nice find Trevor; I think you could argue a case of entrapment for any involvement in selling, if that's the case, down to the 't'.
As a raver; I don't personally deal with the people yelling "X, Shrooms, blah blah blah", so I pretty much treat everyone selling in the open as a narc, and just ignore them. I can see from the standpoint of someone who lost their pill, forgot them, or maybe didn't have the money till they met someone at the party, how those things could be very helpful. My strongest word of advice would be, don't buy or sell narcotics to anyone you don't REALLY know. ^ I mean have raved / partied with them 6-7 times +. |

Do narcs carry a regular wallet or a wallet with their badge in it? Because if you were suspicious you could just ask to see their wallet and if the narc had a cop badge (s)he would obviously call off the thing.

i believe they have to have their badges on them .. not sure tho since they're "undercover"... but in my experience i feel i have been approached by undercovers "looking for x" and such.. there are always undercovers at massives. people do get busted at massives. its not like little parties. but most of the time the undercovers are pretty distinguishable IMO
i think most people who are experienced can pick out the nots. in some cases at least be safe. and if they catch you just run. ![]() |
