To everyone in philly who loves their scene

Alright guys....Some bad shit has been going down. You know it. I know it. Pretty soon everyone will know it. This is such a critical time for us. The rave scene in philadelphia is being attacked and after watching the bullshit that has gone down the past few weeks or so, no one can really deny it.

We. need. to. do. SOMETHING.

Something needs to be done or it's going to be damn hard for us to keep this going. It's not just some scene or party that's under attack. For some of us, it's a way of life. Our WAY OF LIFE is under attack. Our RIGHTS are being violated. We are being slandered, discriminated against, profiled, victimized, and for WHAT? Because because we are exercizing our first amandment RIGHT to freedom of assembly. The right to gather peacefullly.

To all of the promoters I know you work hard really hard for every show but times are changing and some things that were working before for everyone are now working against us. Everyone NEEDS to be careful who posts what and where on the internet. When parties are posted on myspace it becomes public information, which, unfortunatley, means that the police are invited as well, because they are a part of the public. That is not to say that the public SHOULDN'T be invited. We are doing NOTHING wrong by throwing or coming to these parties. If they weren't so fucking corrupt, I would say "Fuck the mainstream and fuck the cops, let the see who we really are!" But like I said, times are changing and our way of life us under attack. I'm not critisizing any one at all here, much less anyone in specific....It's just that as a whole (that means everyone, promoters and partygoers alike), we've become to used to being able to speak freely about our way of life, and there is nothing wrong with that. But now I think we are going to have to be more defensive of it because we are being attacked.

Maybe the public just needs to be educated. Maybe what we need is representation. Maybe we just need to find a way to be better understood by the general public and the powers that be. We are some amazing fucking people when you get down to it. I know we can find a peaceful solution to all of this. I'm not saying that I have the solution. Maybe no one does right now . What I'm calling for is for everyone to come together and come up with a solution. A call for action I guess.
