Are you on a Mac or PC ? And what is the purpose of trying to convert the file, because based on that maybe I can help I did a lot of research on this because of iTunes who's file are a protected AAC FILES/MP4 encrypted. I'll just say I am done buying anything from iTunes store. I needed to convert those files so that Pro-Tools ( A music software program) could read the file. I do mixes with that program and I have yet to find a way to convert high quality sounding files without losing sound quality. So let me know the details and I can point you in the right direction if you have a Mac. Otherwise PC's are not my thing.
