Lost introverted guy.. interested in joining the scene

Hi all. I live in NYC. I've never been to a rave but was always interested. My friends are into alcohol and bars/clubs.. I've never had an interest in alcohol.

I do attend college but I find it hard to make friends. I'd like to meet people who are knowledgeable about drugs. I'm into the hallucinogens but I don't trip around my friends, because I get a bad vibe from them. Other than pot, none of them dabble in anything, let alone the psychedelics.

I'm a young guy.. turning 23 soon. I recently went through a divorce and I'm pretty confused and depressed about life in general. I don't know what my problem is. I'm not bad looking. In fact, my self esteem is pretty good, but I lack confidence.

I've been tripping at home a lot lately. I usually trip alone, and it's great, but I'd like to meet like-minded people and be in an environment where these drugs (acid, shrooms, mdma, etc) are accepted.

Well i mean if u like Electronic Dance music...u like to party..u like to trip....raving might just be 4 you, and its easy to make friends too.

Just remember music comes first.......

If your looking for a great first party in NYC there is one in brooklyn on the 31st (NYE)
it should be a great time...go over to the NYC board and check out TRIP TO NEVERLAND, good mix of diffrent styles will be represented.....

awww, i am really sorry to hear about your divorce, that sucks. a divorce can do a real number on you mentally (as well as regular breakups), and they can make you doubt yourself. but you are right, you are a young guy---23 is very, very young and you have a lot of time left in your life to find a good partner and be happy.

anyway, as a veterana of the rave scene, I think it's really great, and I would advise going to one and just enjoying yourself, absorb and enjoy every aspect of it that you can. (as a matter of fact, that's pretty good advice for life in general!)

You can go to a rave by yourself and if you just are friendly and approachable, you won't be by yourself for long. I don't mean that you will necessarily hook up with anybody, although that happens all the time too, but you will be able to meet nice and interesting people and broaden your social circle.

your immediate experience unfolds exactly as it unfolds, every part of going to a rave, just like every part of any experience, is important. honestly, the first rave i went to, i spent most of the time in a big, fat epuddle not knowing what belonged to who and this was outside where all that could be heard of the music was the bass.

I think the people come before everything, then the music, then the drugs . But seriously I met like 10 people who are some of hte most awesome people I've ever met within an hour of going to the rave. It's insane I don't no I've never felt anything like it but jusst walking in you can actually feel the love the vibes from all the kids, its intense and its awesome I defenitly recomend going you'll have a grrrrrreat TIME!
