Well...it's hard. They don't understand that we really don't have anything else. They are stopping us from being able to live our lives. It really isn't fair. The city of Santa Clarita is an example.

I dunno. Raves aren't supposed to be societally acceptable. Everyone knows people do drugs at raves. I've been to plenty of parties that have been busted over the years and out of all of those parties, only once did I even get so much as a ticket-and that was dismissed from court a few months later. From what I've seen cops really don't care too much about raves other than the people dealing shit or posessing in quantity. All these people selling E and other shit at parties...It's like playing with fire and not expecting to get burned. So, I guess what I'm trying to say is, try being more discreet about drug use if you choose to partake?

Actually, I think (Notice that this is just MY opinion) that big brother is realising that this is a catalyst that is waking up our generation, and opening our eyes to a larger world. Bottom line: These events CHANGE people's lives (almost ALWAYS for the better), and I don't think the generation before us (which includes the cops and govm't officials), likes this AT ALL. Too bad. We aren't going anywhere. We're here, we're NOT hurting anyone! If the yuppies would wake up, and let go of their reservations, and understand P.L.U.R., this kind of intolerance and hatred WOULD NOT happen. Of course, we may also have to accept the fact that there will always be misunderstandings like this, it's just a matter of how we deal with them. Love everyone, PLUR everyone.![]() --John (Ravetrancer) Hey! Does anyone agree that this might be the case??? |

It's not the cops you should be blaming...WE have to accept some of the responsibility for allowing the overly paternalistic social policy that these government officials are simply enforcing. If you really want to effect change on any issue you have to be willing to do two things: (1) As an individual, take the time to participate in social and political activism. (2) Actively enlighten others, who may not see things the way you do, so that they change the way they look at the issues and then act to support your social and political goals. Sitting back, pissing and moaning about realities without acting to change them, is an exercise in futility. Party on! ![]() |

I agree....The main reason I was chiming in the chorus was because of some serious police misunderstandings of late that have occured in my neck of the woods (good ole' Virginia), where 1 police officer (out of a group of 5) was witnessed dropping a bag of cocaine, and claiming someone dropped it (strangely enough, that person was never found). So, yes, I'm a little jaded about things, because from my perpective out here, the police need educating. They got bored, or they just didn't understand. We're working on changing it, but in VA (which hasn't voted Democrat since 1964), things happen S-L-O-W-L-Y. PLUR Peace, RT ![]() |
