Just thought i'd get a general concensus on the matter..
I thought that "PLURR" was great... throw in that RESPONSIBILITY. But after posting "PLURR" on my myspace, and entering it in a few emails, I got a strange response from an old skool raver. He get very bothered by the extra R. He said all of the true old skool ravers did NOT like it, and I shouldn't be saying it. I asked him what was wrong with it, and he said "It's about the drugs"... Well, okay.. Yeah for the most part, it is. It's about being responsible for what you put in your body, and responsible for yourself in general... but why is it bad to preach that? Of course, it would be WONDERFUL if everyone was responsible and it was just an unspoken agreement, but there are too many people out there that lack ANY sort of responsibility, and end up being taken out on stretchers, getting all wigged out, etc etc... So what is it? What SHOULD it be? Who here is against "PLURR" and explain why..because I don't understand... |

If you have peace of mind, love for your brothers and sisters, feel at one with the world, and respect your body as well as other people, the extra R is completely unnecessary. You don't /have/ to practice responsibility; it's par to the course.

I am not saying that I have never done drugs because I have done beyond more than my fair share. There is no true way to be responsible about taking drugs. One bump of any sort can have potentially fatal effects. My closest friend recently died from taking some shit that she had done a million times before. We always thought we were responsible about it, but when all is said and done you never know. Not to talk shit or anything and I am not saying dont do drugs just dont justify to yourself by saying that you are being responsible because besides herb there is no true safe drug accept for those prescribed and those are only safe when taking the recommended dosage.

PLURR: Peace Love Unity Respect Redundancy
yalepac: That's a common misconception, but no. Marijuana is the most widely abused drug in the world. It's also circumstantially addictive, a unique property; the THC bonds with the fat cells in your body. Since most people a) just sit there, be it talking, playing video games, or watching TV and b) get the munchies, you're putting lots into your body that you aren't working off, which get stored as THC bonded fat cells. Now, what this means, is the more of these cells you have in you, the harder it is to do stuff. Whenever you perform any activity that's not sitting on the couch, you burn fat cells... And get high. And want to sit down. 'Cos you're baked. And what do you do when you're sitting down, bored, too tired to get up? Weeeeell, you spark up another jay... And the cycle continues. Marijuana is baaad, m'kay? |

Caffeine is bad to but I don't see everyone putting down there cans of coke??? pot has way more up-sides then done sides. addictiveness depends on the individual if they have an addictive personality well then I don't care if its weed or food or what ever those people tend to over indulge them self's. I find motivation from smoking and it also gives me the patients to deal with day to day life. it takes away headaches and upset stomachs. and as far as the whole your body is a temple thing, pot if organic and has been used for thousands of years actually eaten before it was smoked. There has not been one documented case of anyone dieing as a direct result to weed and any heath problem. its strictly a choose of whom ever is doing it. just my take

Weed unlike most of your typical rave drugs is not physically addictive. If you are lazy in general than sure you will do nothing but sit around. You need to be motivated to get up and get out.
