i'm totally new
i need some tips:
1) parents wont let me do anything of the kind 2) how to stay away from drugs and sex at a rave 3) how to make it feel like an electronica concert and not a club 4) how to get there 5) various skills needed to survive a rave 6) necisary and/or optional items to bring 7) how to dance at a rave and finally, 8) what do i do at a rave bsides dance?

Hey you? Well at every Rave or a club i've been to...i'd always stay off DRUGS!
to be 100% sure u wont get drugs in ur system you can, not drink other peoples water or what ever....unless its unOpened! Dont eat stuff from others if u dont know em! Having SEX, is TOTALLY your option! Anyway....your parents dumb assholes....and if you really want to go....LIE to them if they dont want u too! And how to dance? Doesnt matter, let rythimg guide you! and i dont think people will laugh at you! BRING some food, choclate, energy drink and water!  And alot of glowy colorish stuff!  and a CareBEar! And u dont need ANY skills to survive....whats the longest RAVE u've been too? OVER 2 days? well thats not so normal.....it usual is 1-2 days! SO if u cant survive that...you must be under 10 years old! What else can u do? well...you can walk around i circles....or you could socialize, its a great place for that!

Other than that, people are pretty respectful usually. If you were to get a pervy guy, be straight with him, lie and say you have a significant other and bid him a good night, then walk away. but i've never met pervy guys at raves. even if some guy watches me, if i'm not interested, i won't make eye-contact. 3) how to make it feel like an electronica concert and not a club raves aren't clubs or concerts. if you want a concert you can stand right in front of the dj and pump your fist with the rest, instead of dancing. but dancing is good. 4) how to get there you would need to know the major places in your area where there are raves (for example, bay area its SF or oakland) and get started going over there even before they post the directions. if you don't do this, just know that you won't arrive there until midnight and be prepared to stay up late! raves give you directions at the last minute and you could take a while trying to find em... i've taken a couple hours a couple times... but it gets easier if you know the locations. so you'll need a cell phone and a paper and pen with you in your car so that you can find out where they are. unless you wanna go to a legal rave if you're over 18. but those are lame. 5) various skills needed to survive a rave. eh, be free. enjoy yourself. don't be scared of people who are overly friendly, they're just high. or maybe they're just high on the music! 6) necisary and/or optional items to bring. a little backpack. you want your hands free and your belongings securely on your person. some raves don't allow candy but i like to sneak some in. its fun to eat while you're chillin on the sidelines. also, light up stuff, and a water bottle. they sell water there but it can be expensive. hopefully they will allow you in with water. i think they... might. or just have water in your car for after wards, or some cash for a slurpee. you might wanna chug an energy drink before entering the rave. bring some extra cash in too, sometimes they sell slurpees, candy, or even cool apparel. 7) how to dance at a rave. step in time to the music, then when you feel comfortable, flail your arms over your head like you're on a roller coaster, its fun. lol, actutally, it doesn't matter. just dance. 8) what do i do at a rave bsides dance? mm, all i do is dance, chill, and chat. OH, and take PICTURES! that's fun. and if i bring lots of light-up stuff people ask for lightshows, which i do. you just wave around ur stuff, be creative, if you don't know how to glowstring or anything. have fun!

For the second part of your question I think you are confusing Raves in the United States with those in other countries such as Europe (where you are more likely to see people having some sort of sexual act. Blow Job, etc. Road trip anyone?). If somebody is saying they get laid all the time at raves, I'd question if he or she has ever had sex. I've had a blowjob once way back in the bleachers at the old masterdome, but that's about it, I still to this day don't know what she was on, or who the hell she was. So if there is an asian girl out there who feels bad about it. Feel good that you definately knew what you were doing. Also, there was this E-tarded girl who wanted to kiss me really bad, but that was just a kiss.

dont take this the wrong way but you dont sound ready. wait untill none of that stuff matters to you and you feel comfortable and confident enough with yourself to make your own discisions.
parties arnt about do's and dont's and doin things by the book, write your own book be your own raver. seen
