Going to my first rave

Hey all

So, I am going to my first rave, EDC. I'm going with my wife and before I go I want to know everything I can about raves. My wife has been to a quadrillion. I wanna know about PLURR, not just what the letters mean. I wanna know what (excuse my poor vonacular) it is to "PLURR". Anything else you can come up with, hopefully this won't turn into a "what drugs can I take at a rave" post. I would like to hear what it is like for everyone when they "roll". Thanks!

To be PLUR, just have fun, and enjoy your self while not obstructing anyone else fun. In fact, your fun should be fun for others around you.

Rolling makes most people feel extreme happiness. All your worries may disappear and you should just feel content with everything around you. You'll most likely get more social, but with your wife there should be a lot of emotion and love. It can't really be explained. You'll know the roll when it happens.

Thanks for the ridiculously quick reply. I really like how you explained some stuff. I have a question, I don't do drugs, never have and most likely never will (you can never know). Mostly people just talk about rolling like it just makes you wanna fsck anything you cross. Is it like that for everyone?

Well you get a hell of a lot more social and get a lot more confidence toward getting closer to people. If you're around the right people or person you can get turned on really easy, but most of the time your phallus is pretty much flaccid the entire time. That doesn't mean you still can't feel each other up and enjoy it as if you're both very horny, and make out like you're going to eat each other's faces. However, I have heard that if you can get it up, and you plan on doing anything it will be the best you've ever had.

That is quite interesting. More information about it than I have ever held. It is quite honest as well. I don't get that from people often. Thank you again. Is there anything else you can tell me about raving?

Describe rolling? In one word: Joy!

A pill varies a lot in how fast and hard it will hit, my first time took over an hour before I felt anything, but it's usually 30 mins or so. Doing it on an empty stomach is best. Chewing them helps speed up the effect, but it tastes horrible lol. The first thing I notice is feeling my body temp start to rise... kind of like after drinking a shot of tequila. Not the drunk part, but the warmth spreading outward over your body. Usually will get cotton mouth (make sure you've got water or juice to drink), and either chattering teeth (fun to chatter with music) or mild lockjaw. Sometimes you'll get slight shakes, not always.

Rolling hits everyone different, too, and it depends a lot on what the atmosphere is like. Almost everyone will be very open and friendly. Some people get really turned on, others don't. Your sense of touch is amped beyond belief - something as simple as lying on the carpet and running your arms lightly over it feels great... and a single drop of candlewax is absolutely amazing! Visually, everything is much more attractive to look at, and not just the lazers and spot lights. It's really easy to fall into someone's eyes, and if you find a mirror, falling into your own

You'll almost always have a lot more energy than normal, and it will kill your appetite completely. Like alcohol, what one pill will do for you varies a lot... how heavy of a build are you, how often you roll, have you eaten, etc etc etc. I'm a big guy, and I usually have to take 1.5-2 for every 1 my friends take. If you DO decide to try it out, have an anchor- the wife, a good friend, etc, that can explain what's going on and show you all the fun things to play with!

If you decide NOT to try it out, that's cool too. Most of us have been the sober one at one time or another, and we still have fun. Think of E as an enhancer - not an enabler.

This year was my first rave, though I've partied for years either at house parties (fun) or in Vegas (FUN). Perfectly describable as "The most fun I wish I spent the last ten years having!" Walking in the door, instantly hit by a wall of sound. This isn't OzzFest level of sound, this is "Give me something to hold on to or I'm gonna get blown right back outside!" level of sound. Right after the soundwave, It's the lights. Imagine a concert, say Pink Floyd. They use a lot of lights and special effects to put on their shows, making it something to experience beyond 'just' the music. Now imagine 5 PinkFloyd concerts stacked on top of each other - that's how many visuals we get!

Everyone there is having a great time, and if you meet a stranger, they're only a stranger for about 5 seconds. Wander around and soak up the good vibes. Find a speaker to earhump. Get a lightshow. Find the center of the dance floor.

Man... now I'm all kinds of excited for the next one!

If you love the music, you really ought to enjoy yourself My first rave was back in January and it was one of the best times I've ever had in my life. Everyone is so very friendly, the music is awesomely loud and everyone is very respectful. I had someone start dancing with me and once I told him that I didn't mind him touching me except in certain areas he was completely fine with it and we just kept dancing.

WOW you sum it up pretty damn good but from what i experienced, my roll is different every time so far. my last one i was stuck to the ground rolling hard but thats the first time i taken 4, i only weigh about 100 pounds but 3-4 pills i like ne thing under that i dont roll for some reason =( but it does make you more open. im a really shy guy but last week i rolled and just started talking to everyone, hugging ppl and saying hi. I hope you have a great time at EDC and i hope to meet you their and everyone else that wants to meet me . PLUR imo means have a fun time,enjoy everything thats going on around you and feel the vibe but mostly livin life to its fullest.

Me and my wife first "rolled" for the first time like 6 months ago been pot heads for a long ass time well make that a really really long time anyway rolling is the best feeling on the planet its the best we do if ocasionally now great great feeling its just a bitth to find esecially in the OC (maybe thats a good thing I still need to work lol) usally go to La its all over anyway you should defintly try it at least once its awesome**Also if anyone is looking to adopt a couple for EDC were willing to drive were in the HB area its good to go to these thing in a group***
