the way i see it, gangs are the same as fraternities in how they are formed and the mentality behind them, fraternities just have positive mission statements instead of succeeding and rising to the top by any means necessary.

not all gangs are like that. just the worse ones which are what u hear most about though. good point though about same mentalities.
most of my childhood friends are in gangs now, and they mostly see it as a brotherhood.so luckily they dont do anything to extreme like the media shows. but still not a good choice.

I grew up in group homes in the inner city bay.
I know more about gangs than you do and i'm still down to admit that i don't know shit.
