I WAS NOT AT THIS PARTY, Just POSTING REVIEWS FROM OTHERS. Info is good, so people know in the future! I tried not to post repeats, and the one's trashing the party.
From everything I've read and been told, BEYOND SUCKS right now. This show was filled with druggies and peddlers, trip hazards, unusable bathrooms, and was 110 degrees inside! Now time for the reviews. Aside from the heat and the occasional power outage I had a blast. I dunno how i felt about the industrial music, but all the beats were sick! Total Recall had some nasty dubstep and random rabbit / secret life was just plain awesome. I totally prefer the warehouse atmosphere over an uppity club (excluding the pipe of d00m that is) cant wait for the next event -Skirtboy Once again, we had a great time meeting everyone, catching up with friends we met last go-round, and rocking out with a bunch of other kick ass artists! We're looking forward to coming back and doing it all again sometime!-Dead PA So yeah, the party was a major major disaster becuase of the venue problems, but there was still, so much awesomens going on that I definitely was not disappointed by any means. -Fairy Kickboxer Can't say I'm pleased with the party... It was beyond hotter than hell, there was no air circulating at all. The rest rooms were utterly disgusting and unusable. The power kept going in and out all night. Time slots got jacked and it was just a total mess... I'll definitely not be attending another event at beyond.-Numonik lame party. ![]() too hot. too many rooms. no crowd. no control. no security. Other than that, we got there to see Mike Walker play at 10:05 and walked right in, ie three of us didn't pay a cent, which I'm glad, becuase if we had paid $25 like we expected, I would have been pissed. Sid Reflux started late due to all the other technical issues in his room. He even blew a fuse while he was on. A shame no one in that room was paying any attention to the music. We never found timeslots posted anywhere in the place, nor was there any labeling of the rooms. How many rooms were there? 5, which was probably 3 too many considering the size of the crowd. HC could have accomplished just as much at a smaller venue, with a more concise lineup. My buddy and his girlfriend, who have both been with me to hundreds of events, made several comments about the quality of music, in all of the rooms, which seemed to be low. We left around 12:45 so there was plenty time for it to pick up, but there was no vibe and too many douchebags trying to peddle drugs. The same dude in a red shirt and hat asked me twice in 30 minutes. Kudos to HC for attempting a production of this nature. The metal swings, or whatever you want to call them were a cool feature. The event itself had a full-on feel of an old warehouse party(rave) from back in the day...without the turnout. Regardless, I'm glad I got to hear Josh & Mike play. Supporting your friends is what it's about. Also, nice to see the ghetto element come out of the woodwork to charge the kids for parking. Love the car sitting on the tire mounds!!-Sharc My shin hurts from that damn PIPE! You know what I'm talking about! That guy charging 5 bucks going into the "VIP Room" or the two largest rooms there was just some drug addict. I'm pretty sure he was scamming people. I'm already a skinny basterd and I still lost 10 pounds from the heat. The hunch punch was the most unsanitary thing I've ever scene. Watching people put hooks through there backs and play tug a war with them was awesome. Don't get me wrong. If it wasn't it a dirty disgusting warehouse which is now a dirty disgusting warehouse with blood all over it! I refused to stay in the DnB room. Every time I heard a awesome drop or a favorite song. The sound would cut out. Luckily I found the FREE rum and cokes. Thats the only way I stayed the 2 hours I was there. Michael, through out everything. I've always thought you still through some pretty cool shows. This is the first time I'm disappointed. I know everything was not your fault. Theres a lot to blame on the venue owners and other people. But, you as the promoter has to take the responsibility and make sure those things don't happen again.-Dew Drop So rolling down fulton St. I came up on a train that was parked on the train tracks. I say parked because I watched for about 12 mins and it didnt move. No gps and unfortunately I didnt have any #s to contact the promoter. I am not trying to be a jerk but I am not sure how I was suppose to get around the train. Night Ship really wanted to play -Night Ship Skynet was awesome! Too bad everyone cleared out by the time Skynet went on. The Battle room was awesome as hell even though they didn't have the tables set up for most of the night. Dead PA rules, so all you lamers that missed that are... lame! Even though I felt sick from the heat and the power kept going out, there was some of the most awesome music ever going on at this event. Random Rabbit vs Secret Life, Dead PA, Skynet, DZK vs Gimpmode, and Rtificial's breakcore set tore it up! I missed a lot of the party just because I couldn't stand being inside and spent a lot of time sitting out front.-Crash We dipped around 3am. I was just to tired to even see Skynet. After 3 nights of dancing, I just couldn't take anymore. Hell, the 5 hour energy Nadine gave me wasing even working anymore. Again though I personally had a good time. Granted I didn't have to pay for either WarRoom "we walked right in" or the 5 dollar room. My only complaint about the party was the safety of the venue and the power surges. There was def some good music through out the night!!! -Brainiac ![]() |

was it dew drop that wrote that he didn't like the drug peddling??
what kind of party do you go to that doesn't? ohh.. 'nu rave'.. hah. but seriously. maybe i was the only one that enjoyed the freedom to buy/sell drugs as i pleased, as well as watever else i wanted because there was no security! i agree about the heat, though. the AC was supposed to be fixed, but the old building couldn't handle all the Dj equipment plus lights and AC, so my guess is the owner, Maricio, decided to stop the AC. but, then it was so fucking hot that everyone that i knew that got some form of a drug didn't get off! even i was sober while i was inside.. then when i went outside.. HOLY SHIT. i was hit like a ton of bricks. and the poor guys in the dub room.. everytime they start to bring in a beat the power would drop. and they even turned off all the lights in that room! so they were trying to play in NO light except from their laptops. but they did good while they were on.. but overall, party was lame as fuck. i love that venue because of it's tremenous potential, but the party was just dumb. oh and fuck you, HC for charging $25, that is extremely jewish.. there too much of the industrial crowd around being douche fags to us kiddies trying to have a good time.. so, with that, the lack of AC, and power outages, the party sucked. with at least two of the three fixed, it would have been amazing. i still would say thumbs up to Mike. and i still think beyond is a good venue, since its cheap to party at, got no security, and it's huge. party on garth! ![]() |
