I'm really new to the scene, but my parents are SO paranoid about everything so they won't let me go... Any suggestions about what I should do? I'd also very much like to get to know some people to! : )

Tell them that there is no alcohol there. Also tell them that every rave that you go to is permitted even if its not. Tell them that the media makes everything look bad.

im from near san jose. Ive already told them all those things (and more). when i say theyre crazy, u have no idea.. T_T AAHH!! its so infuriating!

I have that problem. You just have to get your story straight. Say you're sleeping over at a friends place. Preferably a friend they know.
