NYC area here new to the site

Hey,
I'm in the NYC area and just found this site. Not sure if i'm a little too old for this now...26, going on 27 real soon, but i used to go to alot of raves in the late 90's, early 00's. Everything in this area seemed to die down, not only raves, but even the good clubs in NYC that played awesome music. I would love to hit up a rave again but don't know of anything in this area. Anything going on I don't know about? (I'd even be willing to travel a little bit) I'm sick and tired of going to clubs with drunken assholes and doormen who give you a hard time if you aren't wearing the right color jeans.

Don't get me wrong, there are still maybe 2 clubs left in NYC that are good, but nothing beats a night at a real rave.
