Hi all!
I'm new not only to Ravelinks but to the rave scene as a whole. All my life I've been looking for something, never being able to find it; then I saw the movie Groove. Now I want more than anything to attend a rave. Any tips for me about raving? |

Hey there,
i'm in the same situation, i've been out to a few places but i wouldn't mind the real experience of a good rave surrounded by the same people who love the same music ![]() where abouts are you from Aeda? i'm not best person for tips but the best bet is to find a club or place that is low key or has specific nights, from there you can meet people and delve deeper into the scene, if they're nice they will tell you the best places to go. My friend was invited to rave at this club but we never went, was to young. Looking back i wish i had but i'm sure it was for the best that i didn't... well, off to bed cos it's late ![]() |

Welcome, hehe, I'm new to. I never been at a rave either, but I've been asked to play at a few, which I find funny.

I am a person that has been to many raves. I wish I could have it all new to me again. Those were the greatest times of my life. My advice is go to as many as you can. You won't only have a good time and enjoy music. You will feel as if you are part of something special. You will start seeing some of the same people at the parties and develop a certain community and vibe. Maybe even learn some things about yourself. It totally changed my life for the better. You may hear people say that the scene isn't the same anymore. Don't believe the hype. They were saying that when I started. If your new, you'll love it like it was christmas when you were young. So go party, go party I say. Dance you the night away.

Wow, I didn't expect this many responses. I'm glad I'm not the only new person.
So how do I get information about where/when a rave is? |

I would be careful about wanting to be like the movie groove. If I recall there is a lot of craziness in that movie that is off kilter about the scene. i would listen to a lot of different types f electroic music and see what you are into that way your rave experience wll be the best. It is after all about the music! Wasnt Dj Pollywog in Groove? Pretty funny. I suggest seeing John Digweed and or sasha though. i personally am a jungle kid! but whatever. Have a good day, my rambling may not help, but if so then cool. checkout the Itunes radio for some cool electro stations. easy to hear a wide variety that way! later
