I went to my first rave Saturday (Lovefest After Party)

i haven't heard of anything going on before halloween other than bali beats (and transcend last week). like i said, i'm new to this scene and i'm just finding out when/where parties are by what people post here (other than the clubs like ruby skye)

if you could, PM me the info, cause i'm looking for one to go to right before monster massive to put it all into perspective. i'd like to see how the smaller ones compare to the massives in terms of vibe, etc.

You know, I don't know. It'd be hard at the moment to differentiate the two since they were combined, you know? I don't think I'd have a problem being there sober, but then again, maybe I'd hate it?

Drugs just enhance what's going on around you, so it enhanced the fun I was having anyway.

to me, i still have a blast just grooving to the music at home, at work, in the car, at the gym, or wherever. i actually got told to stop moving around so damn much at my desk b/c it was distracting my friend... i see his point though -- that is pretty damn annoying...

Just to clarify, Lovefest Afterparty wasn't really a rave. It was more of a massive. Raves are a LOT smaller, and tend to have a different (and in my opinion, better) vibe. A lot more intimate usually, with people meeting eachother, hanging out..

Glad you enjoyed it. You should try going sober a few times to see if you still enjoy it. My first 'rave' was EDC, a massive in LA. I dropped that night, but the next couple I went to, I went sober to see if I was in it for the drugs or for the music. I still had fun (dare I say, more fun) than when I dropped, so that settled it for me.

Anyway, glad you had a good time, and I'll be seeing you at Imaginary Friends!

My first party thrown by Tri Atom was Bali Beats. If Imaginary Friends is ANYTHING like Bali Beats, this party will be one you won't want to miss!

The vibe at Bali Beats was SO AMAZING! The staff were friendly, and the water is only $1! How often do you see that at raves nowadays? Usually they charge 3 or more!

It's also going to have 4 rooms of sound hidden in a maze! How intense is that?! And it's 24 hours of nonstop partying! You can't beat that.

For only $40 at the door! I actually got a couple presales at Bali Beats for only $25! How often can you find a campout, 24 hour long, 4-room party for only $25?!

haha funny story, i was the same way...i used to think raves just had a ton of kids dressed in stupid outfits dancing like fools rolling their balls off, and tons of gay glow sticks...well its not far from that, but When I came back from Iraq in november, my friends urged me to try going to my first one, Giant New Years Eve in LA...it was the first time I had EVER tried any kind of drug (I'm 26) and i must say I had the absolute time of my life...it really opened me up to the whole world of partying and I only wish I had started when I was younger, because I've been to 2 raves now (Giant and Lovefest) and can't wait for whatever lies ahead (Monster and NYE again) I'm totally hooked and can't wait!
