I went to my first rave Saturday (Lovefest After Party)

I must say, for a few years I thought raves were the stupidest things in the world. Glowsticks were a common theme among my friends to make fun of.

Then my roommate asked me if I wanted to go to Lovefest parade. I said sure. Then that evolved into going to the after party (and paying $65 for it). Then came the hotel room, an E pill and an hour later, bliss.

I'm already stoked for the next one where I'll go with some other friends (the Be Thankful in SF) and I cannot wait!

So in conclusion here, raves are great, I wasted too many years getting drunk for no reason, etc etc.

I'm in the same boat. Went with my brothers and some of their friends.

Everyone said I'd forever remember the first time and they were right on point. Good music and good vibes. Not sure why I waited this long to go to one, but now I'm totally hooked!

I got a free ticket to Be Thankful 2 on the way out, but that's 2 months away. Seriously considering going to Monster Massive. Anyone else from the Bay thinking about it?

I'm still feeling the vibes from Sat. and even got told to stop dancing at my desk today because it was distracting my cubemate. hahahah! Damn, work is one drab, dreary place.

Hahah, I hear you. I was thinking about those LA raves, but I already live three hours away from the Bay so it'd take me a good 20 hours to get to LA, so that's out.

Real excited for Be Thankful though.

thats weird...LA is only like 6-7hrs driving from the Bay. Unless you curve up to Oregon first, you should be able to get there in much less than 20hrs :P

from reading on this forum it sounds like the massives in LA are supposed to be better than the ones up here. not sure though. like i said, i'm new to the scene too.

on a side note i remember seeing a DING fare for like 49 bux the other day from the Bay to LA...

I live about 180 miles north of the bay. Maybe it's more like 15 hours, I think I was thinking about some other place that's farther south than LA, but it's still a long time. The only time I was thinking about going to LA for anything was next year for Coachella.

that is a long time. a full day out of your life spent driving probably isn't worth it. there's always something going on in the bay anyway.

coachella comes to the bay also, so there's no need to drive all the way down there for that. unless the lineup differs, i guess...

Love Parade was awesome i had so much fun!!
didnt get to go to after party cuz didnt have $65 but i went to a chill smaller free rave after party on howord...lol it was rediculously fun for not being that big of a thing

but that could be the 3dolphins and 1naked lady talking

either way last weekend was bomb!
is anyone going to club party monster in sf for halloween?

Is the transillvania rave going to be any good?

when/where are those two happening? i've only heard about monster massive and that looks fun as hell, but i may not be able to get away to make the trip down. if there's a good one happening in the city, can you post the flyer/info?

i will look around for the flyers...
party monster in 21+ and on halloween and in the city and transillvania is at ruby skyy in the city and there are 4 different nights the whole weekend b4 halloween^_^
