I remember the old school fox and the dome I believe the Fox theatre is closed down as far as raving goes however if they ever had a party there I would TOTALLY be there... I LOVE the fox :P have MANY fond memories from there lol The masterdome is also kewl, I remember when I saw DJ Dan there in like 2000 lmao oh how the time flies.

Masterdome was cool but it seemed like there was always drama when I went, people getting stabbed, cars being lit on fire and some other random shit. I liked the Fox a lot more. I can't even count how many parties I went there for. All of those seats were great, you could always find a place to sit. Great venue for lazer set up. Too bad it's not in use anymore. I heard a lot about La Casa but never acutally made to a party there. I don't think I even remember hearing about the other places.

This member is the original thread starter. *sigh*

My ex hubby used to spin at the fox every now and then he's pretty good we had opened another club on 2nd st. in p-town. It was called club 611 it was good whal it lasted, but like most good things, it came to an end. Ahhh, all the good times. I think out of every thing I miss it would be the old school vibe. The one of closeness and friend ship we all had, you know??? When you can walk into a party and your whole crew would be there. ~family~

i think that's more you and your friends, not the scene as a whole

many would argue that they fee one and close with many people they have rave friendships with now

my whole crew was never at the party when i'd walk in, we drove up from ventura and they'd be with us on the way up there, heh....we didn't know anyone around pomona so i didn't know any of those fools when i walked in, again i think this is more you and your friends than the scene as a whole

anyhow, i've been going since back in 96 and i don't think the scene has changed much at all

venues change

friends stop going and new ones start going

but there are still tons of undergrounds, tons of permitted venue parties as well, and tons of people going out to hear dope beats and dance till the sun comes up, from my perspective it's the same as it ever was...

This member is the original thread starter. true, true.

yeah, that was more of a personal exp. as far as the partys go it is the same you can still see both sides of the whole thing it just depends on what side you want to dwell on. I personally go for the music, the people, and the dancing. I think it's real sad when i find a young kid at their first rave and all they care about is the drugs. There is so much more to experience than just that. Even I have friends who as soon as we get in they go looking for their fix. I think it's sad, I have alos gone down that road for a while but grew out of it thank God. Every one has their own opinion on this though and I respect people enough to let them make their own choices. Every one learns at their own pace. well any way enough of that... The openess and over all willingness to share and make new friends is always presant at all raves you are right. I my self have met alot of new people and even ran into some old ones.
