Denver party girl moves to Iowa, looking for any upcoming party in Denver

I'm headed back to the mountains this Wednesday and chilling there till June 14th. Me and my hubby are hitting two shows at Beta nightclub (Oakenfold & Irene), but we were also hoping to hit an old skool party (hugs and all)! We've been listening and dancing to the music since the mid-nineties and the scene is not the same anymore, it's like we're chasing an impossible dream looking for laid back parties to go to and cool, friendly people to hang with. It's been so commercialized and the past few we attended were, well, cold....we were turned away at the door downtown the very last time we tried because I was with my brother, who has a mohawk and wears black leather (but he loves the music and is just a big care bear!) I was flabbergasted.

Is it because we're getting older and aren't privvy to the college-campus announcements anymore? Where are all our happy, generous, caring, dancing peeps?? Anyone know of anything going on in Denver/Colorado Springs/Boulder through the next two weeks? =)
