RL out-of-staters looking for places to stay.

I am coming out with Andie for TAO, I can get airfare for us on my own, but hotels are a little tricky, I am not a millionaire, so the pres. suite is out of the ?, but I want a nice laidback hotel with a nice large bed, well two beds, one for me and one for Andie... where are the best places to stay? I can stay more towards SD or I can go a little ways towards LA.... and what about rental cars, I have been told that @ 22 I should not have a problem getting one? I need help, can anyone help me?

Typically rental car companies require you to be 25. You should call ahead of time and make arrangements. I think your better option would be to stay in SD in a hotel - then make arrangements to ride up with a SD-RL kid. Or you could stay so close that you don't need a car. I don't know your situation so you'd obviously have to decide.

As for hotels - go to maps.google.com

find the address for the venue - let's say it's 1234 22nd street
then in the search box type: "hotels near 1234 22nd street, los angeles california)

That will give you lots of options - then start calling.

The adress of the Sports Arena is 3939 S. Figueroa street in LA, I don't know the zip code because LA has a bunch of them because it's so big!!!

u shouldnt have a prob , I dont think, if u show your military ID when trying to rent a car. Youll also qualify for a military discount too . I could be wrong though so double check

Flying across the country relying on staying with a person that you have never met is a serious plan.

Talk it over in detail and get back to me. Even then it isn't 100% until I confirm it with my roomate (uncle) who is chill and blazes.

Once you guys decide than I can start setting it in stone.

Just keep in mind that I do live in Southern San Diego which is two hours south of LA and two hours south of San Bernadino (which is where most of the parties happen -- those two places) so we will have to do some driving.

Kori is about two and a half hours north of me as well so if you plan on meeting up with her we have to do some driving.

I am guessing you guys planned on driving a lot anyways though.

Shit I don't know man, I am down for whatever.. I just wanna make sure that because I am only 22 I will still be able to rent a car... we will see how it goes with her, she was actually looking to stay with people, maybe two days with one person and two days with another... then we will see where we go from there... but I will def be telling her that we have a potantial spot @ ur place.
