Well you found the right boards!! Were all super chilled! There are not many very good parties here in san diego, there all up in LA and San Bernadino. Check the calander for socal events.

I go to UCSD. I know they've had a bunch of events there, like donald glaud and mark farina, but i go back up north a lot so, i havn't been able to make it out. =( soon though! =) thank you, you all seem awesome!!!!

That place is pretty cool.. ive been there once, got drunk and listened to trance. Alot better than the crappy top 40 DJ that was in the dance room lol. He sucked

If you're over 21... San Diego is a great place for Breaks, House, and DnB!!!... Alot of stuff going on in Gaslamp Quarter and other random spots...

Personally,I'd check out places like Kadan's (corner of 30th and Adams Ave), Recognize (El Cajon Blvd and Euclid), and HoneyBee Hive (Downtown SD near the Community College)... Great 21+ venues with an underground vibe!!!.. They usually feature local dj's that throw down some of the stuff you mentioned you like...

As for raves... Well, they are far and few between in San Diego due to lack of promoters and venues willing to do it... But one thing SD does have down is a really good park party!!!... Check the boards for those!!!!

A good way to find out what's happening is hit up some record stores... United Records in Claremont ([Only registered and activated users can see links. ]) is usually up to date and alot of local house dj's shop there... David X, the owner, is a local house and techno old schooler who's really a nice guy... You'll find plenty of fliers for events there...

It is a little mellow down here as far as the scene in concerned, but oddly enough we have soooo many good dj's here.
Lot's of dj's, not alot of dancers.
If you like House and Breaks, check out Open House this Saturday @ Kadan.
Jolt and The Messenger will be dropping phat breaks while Skree and Sol Good are opening up with funky house.
And it's free.
