I live a few blocks from SDSU and im wondering if I knew any of the kids, Probably not though because you gotta be an idiot to get caught up in an undercover operation that big. I wonder how much coke they netted from that.

How does one go about accidentally overdosing on cocaine? This phrase continues to confuse me. Did she stumble and accidentally do cocaine, or are they trying to imply that it was not her intent to overdose? Both of those seem equally ridiculous. If she meant to overdose wouldn't they specify it, otherwise it need not be said, as in her case.
And I don't see how far fetched this is. A majority of drug dealers, especially those on college campuses, grow accustomed to a certain level of comfort and anonymity because they see the drug use as being so pervasive that they rarely think of the seriousness of it. The claim that these kids are "stupid" because they were infiltrated and caught by the police is unfair, though. They have informants in major criminal organizations whose structures are designed to keep out all potential undercovers, going to great lengths to ensure that it does not happen, but the police manage despite that. This organization was far looser in its associations; it could easily happen to any dealer. |

"Four pounds of cocaine, 50 pounds of marijuana, 48 hydroponic marijuana plants, 350 ecstasy pills, psilocybin, 30 vials of hash oil, methamphetamine, various illicit prescription drugs, one shotgun, three semi-automatic pistols, three brass knuckles and $60,000 in cash were seized."

i totally agree with you on this. i'm guilty of treating pot like it's legal, i got to stop. my excuse is that i take mad precautions before i smoke in public, ie. scoping out a good secluded place, using a cigarette filled with bud to distract curious eyes, always having gum and eye drops on me, etc. in spite of my precautions, the risk to getting caught far outweighs any enjoyment i get from public smoking. lol i gotta stop being such a stereotypical pot head. I go to SDSU, there were a few news crew on campus today but everything was pretty normal. I don't think anyone was surprise at the results, i just hope no one i know got arrested. personally, i think the dealers' operation was a lil sloppy for how well stocked they were. -v |
