from the ravelinks archives, these are pictures from Dune IV from 1998
before the sun rose, this was literally a party in a desert dust storm , wind was blowing sand like crazy everywhere , the peeps with sunglasses and goggles were the lucky ones.

when the winds died down, and when the sun rose, the temperature rose pretty quickly because this was in the middle of the summer

Thanks for sharing these. That was one windy ass party! I remember watching some of the tents in 'Tent City' tearing out of the ground and just flying away. By the end of the night we were all just sitting on our tent so it wouldn't blow away. I was cleaning dirt out of my ears for days afterwards, but man that was a good time.
