you prolly seen my post just under this one, and the one way at the bottom of the page, from a month ago.. The scene died here about 4 years ago, and hasn't been heard from since. The closest party you'll find down here is in Miami..and at that don't expect to be impressed.
If you find something, I couldn't, let me know because I think theres nothing to find.
I'd settles for a house party at this point.

you're talking about the dude trying to get a show at Studio 183..I don't see that one panning out, I was following the guys progress on Euphoriaproject.org, and he wasn't getting any help from people to get it worked out. Also Mitch Waas, was going to help get it going, but he died recently and never got the chance. It might happen, possibly as a result of Mitch dying, they may kick it into over drive as a memorial to him..I'll keep my eye out and let you know if I hear anything further..
I guess NY and Cali are the spots to be for raves right now..
Fuck Floridas Nazi, rave laws..The closest thing to a rave we have going is Nightmoves III, and Level III..and I wouldn't tell you it's a rave, because I wouldn't want to face you after you seen that weak shit, lol
we need real ravers to step up and show us how it's done apparently, because right now, "the man" is winning here in Fl..

I feel you bro, I don't think I'd go to Ultra anyway, my homeboys went to the 03' Ultra, and they got searched immediately, they don't even do shit, so nothing happened,..but that place is like a feeding frenzy for PD. I'd rather be in the area, right before, and right after, and catch some of the lessor known pre and after parties...
I was thinking of going to Afterburn, a party thrown in Lakeland, in honor of Burning man..but that isn't a rave per'se..but you will see mad poi, and there could be a rave, anything goes in burning man, so afterburn would most likely do the same.

We do an electronic music weekly every Thursday in Ybor, called fusion. It's mostly freshly baked Breaks, but we get some DJs in there once in a while that throw down the DnB and some house.

I don’t think the scene is dead here. It’s not as big as it was a couple years back. There are still a good number us that are still active. Tronix is right; you do have to go out of town if you’re trying to hit up the BIG Raves.

I was at Ultra in Miami, and wow, I was not prepared. No words can describe how awesome it was. The tickets for both days were pretty damn expensive, but worth it. As for the body searches, they were not thorough at all. It was a simple pat down to make sure you didn’t have any weapons. For girls they open there bags but all they did was look inside them, they didn’t search them. If you wanted to bring something in you could no problem. Everywhere I walked I smelled weed. I could not get away from the smell. You know how the Muslims have their pilgrimage to Mecca? Ultra was our pilgrimage.

I usually check groovetickets.com to see if any of the big DJ’s are performing in FL. Right now, these next few months are looking pretty slow for the East coast. I’m hoping some good acts come in the summer.

If you’re into smaller gatherings with cool people and good music, we still have plenty of those here. Tampa is more laid back then other cities. You can still find places to go here. Meeting up and networking with other party goers is a good way to find stuff out here.

I'm always down for parties and road trips on the weekends.

I'll check out the Thursday night deal at fusion, but being on a Thursday sucks, having to get up the next day, or more than likely, call in..But eventually, I'll get a Friday off, and do that.
As for Ultra, thats on my list..this year got all fucked up for me, because of the construction industry crash, so anything I was going to do this year, that was going to cost some cash, is so far cancelled. I was supposed to go to Burning man too..

So for now, I'd prefer something small and local. Besides, I want the scene to return, here, it used to be hot around here...
