So I just recently got into the Rave scene but I have never been to a Rave before, and I was planning on taking a trip this Halloween down to the Samhein Henge Rave party. It's going to be in Georgia, and I was wondering basically, what should I expect at this Rave, or any Rave for that matter. Is it possible to stay sober or is there drugs everywhere you turn. I'm only 17, and like I said this is probably going to be my first Rave and I'm just wondering what to expect. Also, if anyone is interested we could meet up and all kinda go to this thing together. Just a thought =)

I'll be in Charlotte, NC with one hell of a crew- BUT

Expect to have a blast- as long as you're not shy, and you're not a dick head you'll be fine! =) Be open minded and don't start shit with anyone. There's obvoulsy a lot of people (as long as its promoted good, and the promotors have a record of good venues)- some awesome music (as long as the DJs are the shit), and to be dancing all night- OH also expensive water (ranging from 4-7 dollars a bottle- ive seen it as high as 10 before)- random people coming up and talking to you- dont be shy just talk to them.. you NEVER know who you'll meet! =)

Drugs are everywhere- sports venues, concerts, work doesnt matter- if you want them they'll find you.. DO NOT go looking for them because you dont know whos a troll (fyi- cop/detective etc.,)-

I say my RULE OF THUMB would be- if you set your water bottle down and turn your back, DO NOT drink from it again, because you never know- just put it in your bag or your pocket or something, and dont let anyone drink out of it- Thats how I've always partied- even in just small house parties with the people I knew- thats just how I've been. It hasn't let me down yet =).

I do hope you're going with friends though-
its always better going in numbers with people you TRUST- especially if something does happen they can care for you, and take you to the right emergency medical team.. as long as its a legit party and the people throwing it are responsible there should be some sort of medical staff on hands *emt, paramedics, etc.,*

In my experience depending if its all 100% legit (permitted and such) then you wont have the 12yr old etards running around- try to be as much aware of your surroundings as possible- (I woke up one time in the middle of nowhere-granted i was under the influcence but still- i didnt know that part of the city at all, come to find out i was just two blocks away from the venue)


Stay safe, have a blast, dance to your hearts content- just beware of what i said... do not drink out of a waterbottle that has been left in one area or someone else has been handling it-

I just looked that one up, damn, that's an 8 hour drive from Louisville for me. Pretty steep. May want to consider November 1 rave in Nashville then while you are at it, on the way back lol.

I don't think you have to do drugs at a rave but obviously you will enjoy it a lot more if you do in moderation and responsibly.

Here is a few rules man: DO NOT, I'll say it again ... DO NOT BUY DRUGS AT A RAVE. Terrible quality with the big risk of running into a fed. Not worth it. I know its pretty obvious one but if you are gonna roll, find some right now in KY, not there.

And if you are gonna do X, then just drink plenty and relax. If you are looking for friendly people to get to know, look for those who are sweating and have a water bottle ..... to them, love is in the air

And if you do decide to do drugs, don't be one of those idiots that pop like 5 or 10, there is a point where it stops working and does far more harm then good. Unless you weight like 200+, one is good enough, second one only after like 4-5 hours if you didn't get enough.

Well I'm going to Underworld in Nashville which is only about 2 hours away from where I live, and I am so stoked!!
After reading what you all have said I just cannot wait!
