SPACE TRIBE

OLLI WISDOM: Originally from England, now living in the rainforest near Byron Bay, Australia, has been a pioneer of psychedelic trance for many years. In the early 80’s, Olli was the singer in the theatrical Goth/Glam band "The Specimen" and ran the famous London goth club “The Batcave“. After the band split up in 1986, Olli went travelling in Asia and in 1988 came to Koh Phangan in Thailand where he first encountered the fantastic electro-driven wild psychedelic parties on the beach. Instantly hooked, he immersed himself in the music and never looked back. He stayed there for 2 years, DJing, and set up a small studio making tracks for the parties, before moving to Goa, India. Over the next 4 years, Olli spent his time mostly in Goa, but was now starting to travel around making parties in other places (San Francisco, Switzerland, UK, Japan), spreading the word and turning people on. In 1993, Olli, his brother Miki, and Richmond started Space Tribe clothing in Bali. The fractal fluoro party gear was an instant success, and now you can see it at parties all over the planet. In 1995, the first Space Tribe tracks were hatched in the studio with Simon Posford (Hallucinogen/Shpongle) and everything flowed from there. Olli moved out to the rainforest in Byron Bay in Australia, and set up the Rainforest Space Base Studio. Space Tribe released their first album, 'Sonic Mandala' on Spirit Zone in 1996 and since then, Space Tribe has released at least an album a year. In 2004, Space Tribe Music was set up as a record label providing an outlet for Space Tribe releases and compilation albums. Space Tribe are also making many tracks in collaboration with other artists including Absolum, Sirius Isness, X-Dream, GMS, Menog, CPU, Psywalker and especially Electric Universe, working under the name ESP. Space Tribe parties have lifted the spirit and tweaked the synapses in Australia, Brazil, Japan, South Africa, Israel, America, Thailand, India, Ibiza, Bali, England, Germany, Hungary, Holland, France, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and many more places. From Burning Man to Voov Experience, from the mountains in Japan to the beach in Goa... Next party? Liquid Sun, Canberra!!!

SIAQUA

TOM ANDREWS: Phaser, Mr Horse. Tom has studied music since the age of 6, when he started playing recorder. This soon led to the saxophone, which in turn led to studying music at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School. After completing his education there, he went on to study Sound Engineering at RMIT. After the completion of his studies, Tom started work at Ritzland Music where he was music editor for The Secret Life of Us and Neighbours, where he remains today. With his technical expertise and musical knowledge, he brings a fresh and exciting approach to writing music, which adds to the Siaqua sound.

PETER SUWARA: The filter prince, Leprechaun, a golden extraordinaire! Peter needs no introduction. He was born into this world with excitement, enthusiasm and passion for entertainment. Siaqua defines Peter's energetic, uplifting and flavouresome joy. Introduced to entertainment and parties at the early young age of 5 in Athens, Greece, nothing has stopped this lad from full power. Helping Siaqua get off the ground 6 years ago, Peter is involved at all levels of production, from composition, mixing, mastering and logisitics. Peter's first introduction into the amazing world of trance was at 15 when he fell in love with the work of Brian St. James (SPIRITUALIST - White). The first CD he had procured from his uncle, who noticed the penchant of energy and enthusiasm in the young man. From then he swept the party scene throughout Australia. At 18, his love for trance took him to meeting the boys of Astral, who gave great counsel and guidance towards the possibilities of writing music in the trance scene, after which he did his own solo music production for a number of years, playing at house parties and small events.

HISTORY: Tom and Pete finally met during the early days of psytrance in Australia. It was the year 1999, at a dark, dirty rave. The two bumped into each other through the meistro Zlatko of the New New Order. Their first big break was offered by Earthcore, who threw the boys a lifeline at their festival. They have no idea what kind of roller coaster ride they were in for. From Byron to India, Siaqua quickly swept through the psytrance scene. The latest collection of killer tunes are set to explode next year as the duo prepare to finally release their first album. After years of practice and observation, they have tapped into the secret magic energy of the outdoor dance scene to bring about the next schnitzel sensations that will rock your dance floors! BRING IT ON! Respect to all those schnitzel peeps out there!
